For Limited Time Magic next week we offer:

Limited Time Magic for the week after is:

Become Cinderella for the day*

* Cinderella prior to the ball. Guests will receive broom and dustpan upon entry to the park. Guest will be required to sweep streets and clean up refuse at all Theme Park establishments until the stroke of midnight

Too funny!

I'm just glad I'll be there for the Villains night!
I'm not excited because I've heard it would be the same ones that come out for MNSSHP and they'll only be dancing with guests. It's still far off and can change, but a big promo for a small event?

Pirates Week could be awesome, if they actually go through with that idea.

What exactly does Limited Time Magic mean?? The Cinderella one was a joke, right?? Lol, I hope.

I won't be attending MNSSHP so that'll be fun-ish for me? It's better than being there for "winter wonderland" which I am currently experience at my house.

It figures, we arrive tomorrow for a week. :rolleyes2 I guess when they decided to call it "limited" time magic, they really focused on the "limited" aspect. I think the magic is limited to those who came up with the promotion.

Don't panic Bubbles....The Broom will come with Industrial strength disinfectant wipes...and no bathroom duty will be required...( from children under the age of two).

What is this?
Maybe they should look at Disboards for some ideas!!

HA!! I was just thinking the same thing! Do you think they read DIS Boards? Maybe if they do it will give them a heads up that things are amiss! LOL! :rotfl2:
That way, when I go in April, they may have pulled out that extra sprinkling of Pixie Dust! :cool1: A girl can dream, right?

Limited time magic. All guests are invited to wear pink shirts. See the magic kingdom awash in pink. (Guests must provide their own shirts).

I still can't get past the name of this promotion :crazy2:. Couldn't they have called it one of a kind magic? It would be better to come up with something biggish and carry it through for an entire month than some of these little appreciated ideas. A whole month of a "romantic" theme for February, a whole month of "lost friends," etc. They could do it a little bigger - making it something to be excited about (at least for some people) instead of something that people are making fun of.

Maybe they should've had it as a monthly thing. A whole month where each week a different set of long lost friends is out, a whole month for true love, etc.

If they had done it that way, they wouldn't have to come up with as many ideas. :p

Exactly. Twelve really good ideas could possibly work.

I've been following the limited time magic promotion with interest. In my opinion (so far) we've seen two really cool things (Long Lost Friends Week at WDW and the return of the Golden Horseshoe Revue at DL), a bunch of things that were already going on repackaged as "limited time magic"--which strikes me as lazy at best and disingenuous at worst (mostly these are DL: 3 Kings Day, Lunar New Year, Bayou Bash, savings on 3-day hoppers (which were still $20 more expensive than last year, when we bought them under a similar promotion at the same time of year); but also the "year of the ear" where the January hats were available in parks from fall 2012 onwards). This pick a logo week is a low: it seems like a thinly-disguised attempt by merchandising/marketing for the public to do their work (market research) for them. Also, it may just be me, but I am not particularly impressed by any of the logos.

If I had to guess, I'd say poor budgeting is what's driving this uneveness. It seems likely to me that Disney didn't budget enough money to have a cool week (extra characters, extra fireworks, extra shows, etc) every week. Some things that they may have been planning to do already they folded in (especially in DL where the common wisdom is there are more APs, so DL already has a more diverse set of shorter celebrations to entice locals to make repeat visits). And some weeks, they have to do something cheaper--like an on-line poll. Or special merchandise.

I don't mind some of the merchandizing either: I certainly lined up (and shelled out) for a One More Disney Day sweatshirt early on February 29. But if you're going to do limited edition merchandise, don't tell me it's new in January when you started selling it in November.

I saw their logos on FB and voted on my favorite (but really, they're all bad)...I totally did not realize that this was the promotion for the week?! I'm not a guest this week; I'm a FB subscriber. How is that special for park guests?! Very sad. Very, very sad.
And the next time we arrive will be that Friday the 13th when DHS is open late, but you know we'll be too tired from driving to go there. I really hope that one night is not it for the whole week.
This whole campaign is just so very lame.
