I know that barking cough so well. All three of my little headaches have asthma in varying degrees of how bad it is. Kacy being the worst.

Thankfully knock on wood we look to be improving in that department.

I'll join ya'll on the beach for the tropical drink. I could use a nice beach about now.

Carla, I am keeping Gabby and her family in my prayers and my thoughts. I thank God that he spared her life.

Should have thrown the food back at 'em :rotfl2:

ROFL, given that it was you Nikki I'm sure it was inventive and extreme, but effective :thumbsup2
I should have thought of that! That would totally be something I'd do! Cheesestick to the head. :lmao:

Well of course it was. I just cut off an appendage. Made something else hurt so I could forget about the headache.:thumbsup2
:lmao: yeah I really did. But glad you didn't.
 I loves you!
Well, Gabby gave birth today and they lost the baby. :sad2: The doctors believe that Gabby will be okay though and has a very good chance that she will still be able to have children. Please continue to pray that Gabby makes a full recovery and please pray for her mental health too. She is very drained as is the rest of the family. They tried to bring her son in to see her today and she turned him away not wanting to see him. Which is understandable but also sad. Thank you again for all your prayers. Alli really appreciates each and every one of them.
I can't imagine that a baby born at 22 weeks would have had much quality of life anyway. They told me that Shandi wasn't viable, and she wasn't far behind in the growth department.

Prayers said for Gabby and the family.
Praying for this family!! My heart just aches for them.
As Sharky says, you are the "Queen of Prayers."
Yeah, lazy indeed. How was your business trip?
Wonderful.:goodvibes

But I am tired.

Good morning. Seems we have such sad news lately. Leger I hope your Gabby and her family are on the road to recovery. Such a sad thing to happen to a family. And she must be truly devastated. My thoughts and prayers are with them today.

I hope everyone is doing well and beating these headaches/migraines/asthma. Spring is really kicking everyone's butts. My DS is back on his breathing treatments. But other than that we are doing fine.

Have a great day everyone!
Yeah, that's one reason why I hate spring. My allergies have been terrible so far this year. And we just got rid of our snow.
For realz, yo!

I thought it was Saturday when I was laying in bed this morning before my alarm went off. Then I realized it was Friday and I was sad.
Well I guess I spoke too soon. After telling the Asthma nurse how well Braeton was doing he started Weezing just a little Wed night. Then he woke up with the bark I call it.;) You know the almost whooping cough sounding cough. (Does that EVEN make sense???) The good news is his lungs sound fine. Right now it's all upper respitory but the Dr said she could definatly hear his asthma underllying it all! So now he's back on breathing treatments at night and then just as needed. But with all the stuff that has been going on with a lot of ya'lls kids and selves I'm so thankfull his is REALLY mild right now. Nothing we can't take care of.
That totally makes sense to me. Shane gets that way every time he gets a cold.
Update on Gabby:

Alli said Gabby is going home from the hospital today. She is very emotional. It all depends on what time of the day it is as to how her mental/emotional status is so please continue to pray that God gives her the strength to push through the pain and continue on with life. I'm really hoping that Gabby can find a support group of people that have been through something like this before so she can have someone to relate to. That always seems to make tough situations easier.
That's a good idea. Time does heal.

Anyone care to join me?:goodvibes

What is that? It looks like a Sex on the Beach. I haven't had one of them for years. From what I remember, they were so good.

They held a lot of world records for their coasters for a long time. I just can't get on them one right after another anymore. Old age is catching up to me.

Just wait, Mike will be the next one with the ear hair!

Is it from repetitive motion? You must have been doing something too much. And now see what you've done? Bad girl.

Hope it feels better soon. And stop doing that!

I can still do coasters, but just can't do SPIN-ME-AROUND rides like at the local fairs.

ewww...no ear hair, thank you.

After thinking it over, and then talking to my Dr, it was probably from walking Chance. He weighs MORE than me now and since he's still a puppy he's always pulling and I always have to yank back on him.

I'll have to post a pic of him in a bit.

I just said a prayer and Bean is praying for them right now (nothing as powerful as the prayers of children). Keep us posted on how things go and let them know we're sending our prayers and good thoughts their way.

Hey Cheri! Thank you about the promotion and great to see you too! :goodvibes

Oh no, that stinks. Do you do a lot of keyboarding in your work? My wrists were getting pretty unhappy until we had one of our HR people come through who had ergonomic training and I got a natural keyboard, new keyboard tray, raised my chair and my monitors and my back, neck, and wrists have all been better.

that gave me warm fuzzies to hear that Bean was praying!

 back at ya!

Yes, I'm always on the computer. I'm thinking of definitely getting a mousepad with a cushion on it because that seems to be a big issue of mine, resting my wrist down when I use the mouse. Last night I bought a wrist guard at Walmart and it's been SO helpful today. I even wore it to sleep last night because it said on the box "good for sleeping, working..."

I knew about the wrist already but sorry again that you are having to deal with that. I hope it heals soon and you start to feel better! :goodvibes

See Cheri? I'm not the only one that's recomending the ergonomic keyboard. Mike's the 2nd to say that it really helps. I hope you are able to get one soon to aleviate some of the pain in your wrist. :goodvibes

thanks girl!

Yea, I just don't know if I'd ever get used to it. Hehe

I already knew this but I am still praying.

I hope not either. I hope he doesn't remember that. He's still really young. I think he's only 3 or 4 years old so he probably won't thank goodness. The baby she just gave birth to today was a girl. They named her Grace.

I was going to ask that. Glad he's too young to realize.

Grace is such a pretty name.

Hey girl. So glad to see you regularly posting again

Hope your wrist feels better soon :goodvibes

I noticed you worded it differently this time. So I'm guessing you didn't want to comment on my irregularity this time? :rotfl:

thanks girl. Thank God for the wrist guard. I'm sure it will help with the healing process.

Ugh! I actually thought it was saturday this morning too. I was almost late for work.

Glad to hear she is home. WIll continue to pray. I hope she finds a support group as well. she can not do this on her own:goodvibes

Thanks, normally I don't like cats but thought that one was cute.

Thanks Sharky

What cool parents y'all are to let your girls dye their hair such awesome colors!! My Mom wouldn't even let me put highlights in my hair until I was 18 years old.

Sorry to hear that Bean had another bad morning with a headache :( <~~~ for Bean!

We've agreed to let them do whatever they want with their hair ...even shaving parts if they want - hair grows back and/or can be re-dyed. Just no piercings in odd places or tatoos before they are old enough to not regret a spur of the moment decision.

Silly Bean! She is SO cute. I hope to one day go to DLR. Maybe some day when I'm rich  The plane tickets are just crazy. And yay for double digits in July!!! :woohoo:

Oh thank you both so very much. That gave me goose bumps to know that Bean was praying as well. She is just so sweet. Give her an extra big hug for me. I have an update on what happened today that I will post next.

Yes, she's my silly girl :rotfl: Yes, I know well the price of those plane tickets ...they were a good chunk of our expenses when we went to WDW ;)

Prayers are one thing we can always make time for and never run out of

Thanks, my night is good and relaxing so far. Have a full tummy and enjoying the warm weather with my windows open. Love spring for the cool air

See Cheri? I'm not the only one that's recomending the ergonomic keyboard. Mike's the 2nd to say that it really helps. I hope you are able to get one soon to aleviate some of the pain in your wrist.

Glad your night was so good. I love it when it get to the time of year to have the windows open. It was like that for us today.

Yup Cheri - the ergo keyboards take a little to get used to, but they are really worth it.

I'm sorry to hear that she lost the wee one. Words seem hollow but I can only hope that with time and support from family and friends that she will find some level of peace with the loss.

Hope they figure out something for her as well

Hope you feel better

Yeah, if she had just made the effort to ask, then she would have got at least 15

We hope so too - she had a good day today - got out and played with friends and walked the dogs too. I'm better now, even had pasta with sauce tonight!

Hey OB! It is a season full of ailments isn't it? Yes, lets all get past all the ickies and have some fun!

I hear that!

Yup, older DD has had that cough the past two years in late fall. All things considered at least it is mild and the treatment is helping. I hope he is able to come back off of the breathing treatments soon. And it is very good to hear that it is not in his lungs. Take care LeeLee!

I am with you on the hair. It grows out, or can be redyed no big thing but when Kacy my almost 16 year old wanted gauged earrings I was not so nice. Eighteen and you can pay for it baby and even then I am not for it. You want a good job some day.

And I am on the west coast too. Everybody is usually asleep before I come on.

That is great Bean had a better day

Hi ya Chele!!

I like the Happy Easter in your sig...You find an easter avi yet?

Carla...forgot....Like the new avi :thumbsup2

Hi all!:goodvibes
Tat thanks for the video link. Braeton LOVED it. We all did!!:rotfl:

O.k. a Braeton story.....
Today we were running around trying to take care of some business. We let my brother take our minivan on a youth Trip to San Antonio so we were in my DHs little car with no working AC. Not a biggie since it isn't hot yet right???
All was fine for @ 10 min and Braeton started coughing and coughing and coughing. We pulled up to a gas station and DH got out to get gas. I had just said I'm going to have to call his DR and before we go anywhere we need to go back home and try a breathing treatment. Braeton was trying to say he would be fine in the middle of all the coughing and wheezing and I said O.k. Braeton we'll pray. Well don't you know about that time My Dad pulls up in front of us! i jump out and say Dad What kind of Inhaler do you have?" He blankly looks up at me and i say again What kind of Inhalor DO you HAVE???

"HUH??? Paper?? What kind of Paper???"

And then I realize his hearing aids aren't in. "IN HAY LOR What kind OF INhaler DO YOU HAVE???? "

OH 2 kinds.
"DAD BRAETON NEEDS AN INHALER. HE'S CHOKING."
And then he finally caught on!! he quickly checked to see which one he had and said call Braetons Dr and see if he can have it. I just leaned over and gave Braeton a puff.
It worked great and when we got ready to leave Braeton told me see God took care of me and now I can play with E.. My niece had been in the truck with my Dad and he took them both back to the church where he was working since that is where we were headed also.
And by the way I called the Dr later because it was a mix of Abuterol and something else I can't remember right now. it was fine and she called him in some Abuterol inhalers.
You know God can use anything to remind you HE is in control. Including an Asthma Attack and you Dad driving up with an inhaler in his truck when Everyone thinks you are out of town. (We were supposed to be in La today!) And most of all a precious child who not for one moment was scared. He knows that if you pray God will work it all out!!:goodvibes
