Honestly, no. I still feel like we followed the rules and they didn't, so why should I compromise. BUT I will let it go...I guess I'm just a "rules gal" and try to abide by them and expect others to as well...I need to work on letting go more -- be much better for me...

Obviously DD is teaching this to me a lot! Funny how I am growing up more in my late 30s than I did years ago!:rotfl2:

I am someone who has a hard time compromising when I think I have done my part and someone else hasn't followed through. It never fails to amaze me the things I have learned from my children.

Oh by the way HI!

That's right...several of you mentioned her...sorry I couldn't remember who all is reading her. I read a chapter last night and really like it!

So thanks again everyone for the recommendation.

I like that she is not perfect. So many times the main character is perfect. I think that is why I like Sue Grafton's character Kinsey Milhone. She cuts her hair with nail clippers, drives an old car, that sort of thing.

OK, call me naive!!

I went to tour a new preschool today for DD next year. I was loving it! Everything was just soooo cool, so neat -- kind of like too good to be true. The classroom was wonderful, curriculum exciting, etc.

I thought I had heard the price before "$x/week"...was looking at going 2x a week. Then the lady tells me the price and I swear my mouth drops open...it was $x/DAY!!! Obviously, that totally blew it -- it was twice the cost we have in our budget. I'm soooo disappointed.

No wonder I liked it so much! :rotfl2:

Hello too!

Yep, that's what I think too...but even writing it to you all, I felt a bit foolish...

Cool! That will be my next series!

Wow that must have been really high. The school we sent/send our kids to -- there is no per day price. You pay for the week no matter how many days you go. That way they keep the school full. Good for them -- not so good for us.

OK, I have to pick DD up from Preschool.

we like the school she is in but next year (4yo) meet in the afternoon and I think morning will work out better for us. So looking for another one.

I was equally naive. That is why I bought the books and everything and did it myself. I look back now with three kids as close together as mine are I wonder how I did it. It payed off, they are all above grade level. Kody gets letters at least once a week from one college program for highschool students or another. Including an offer to study abroad next year with a program that you have to be nominated for. And Kody is just a freshman in highschool and they are already recruiting her.

Working. Sigh.

It's no fun when work interferes with life.:sad1:

Wow!! More power to you!!! I thought about doing it myself but realize I wouldn't stick to it and really wanted DD to have that social interaction.

So cool that Kody is being recruite -- Go Scholarships!!:thumbsup2

That's my thought. I have continued to remind them that scholarships are their friends. She has been getting these invitations to summer seminars like one from Georgetown. The only way we can afford Georgetown is with a scholarship. You know the time we spent learning together was actually a lot of fun for us all.

Here is a picture that was over on the Disneyland side that was too pretty to not share with you all.

OH MY! That is wonderful! I wish my camera took such nice pictures at night.

There is this thread over on the Disneyland side called Disneyland Picture of the day 2 and I recommend it highly. There are some excellent photographers that post on there.

That and there is a food thread that I lovingly call food porn.

Got a question for anyone that can answer...did the 180 day out adr change. I see where some say that it is changing to 90 days. Is this true?

Yes, it's 90 days now.

Supposedly, it was only going to be 90 days until the computer program was up and running...but then we heard that Disney is going to use the 90 days permanently.

Although, I am a planner and would love to do it at 180 days, I think 90 days is smarter as people might actually keep their ADRs (i.e., show up). When you planned at 180 days out, a lot of times you didn't know the park hours or your "day by day plan".

It's always been 90 days at Disneyland. I wish it was 180 it would make it much nicer for obsessive planners as I tend to be.

Yep, I agree -- I'm a planner too! But one theory says that people call 180 days in advance, just taking all kinds of ressies for all kinds of places and then they either forget or just doesn't fit in. Of course, no one else can get that ressie then ... so maybe it'll work...who knows?

Are ressies hard to get at DL at the 75-90 day mark?

At WDW, most places (except in off-season) only have the bad times, like 9pm dinner!
