Ooh, I especially like the books that are a series and I can read a bunch of them right in a row. What are the Plum novels about?

Sounds like murder-mysteries? Are these a series or just individual books?

Thanks for the suggestions!

Hi Marshay, you will absolutely love the Plum Novels by Janet Evanovich. The main character Stephanie Plum is a bounty hunter, but not like the bounty hunter TV series, lol, she's funny and has a side kick who is an ex pro, if you get my drift, that she once had to hunt down and bring in. She has to find these people who skipped on their bail and take them and get them rebonded. She has a crazy grandmother and a bunch of other wacky characters. Then there are the two sexy guys; one is her boyfriend, one is another bounty hunter and her involvement with them. The books are hysterical and also have some serious parts and they are absolutely fantastic.

Also if you like series, you'll like Fern Michaels Sisterhood Series, they are all about revenge on people who did things and the legal system didn't seem to work in their cases and the Catherine Coulter FBI series, they too are good, the first one I believe is "The Cove" and there are a lot of them, just don't remember how many of them there are. I just finished one. I think you'lllike them all.

Thanks for more books suggestions!

So is the author Stephanie Plum or Janet Evanovich?

The author is Janet Evanovich and the main character is Stephanie Plum.If you start reading them, let me know how you like them.

Wow Sharky! Guess you got to be careful who you get in the elevators with ... one never knows...

Ok, I'm off to do a paraffin (sp) hand treatment...one of those homedics machines I got years ago and never used...

When I was at the newspaper in Louisiana our boss brought one in that she got as a gift and never used. We girls used to use it every day.It made my hands so nice. I could use that right now for my feet and my hands, they are so dry and itchy, nearly driving me to distraction. I dig at them scratching till they are raw and red and raw. it's horrible! I know you are going to enjoy that paraffin treatment!

Could someone come over here and hit my DH over the head with something? His snoring kept me up half the night :headache:

All the baby comments are taking me way back. I remember when DD was born she was in NICU so I couldn't breast feed. But I was determined so I pumped and pumped and pumped. It was so frustrating getting next to nothing. Then 4 or 5 days later BAM! It was like a freak show and I looked like something out of Playboy :lmao:

Hope everyone has a great day.

Oh, let me, let me, lol. I have a husband who snores so loud people in other bedrooms can hear him. I finally started using ear plugs. I get them in there good and tight. At first I was worried I wouldn't hear important noises but I do. It muffles the snoring so that it is tolerable but you can hear things like the kids or fire alarm and other reasonably loud noises. I suggest you give them a try, they make a big difference. I keep a couple sets in my nitestand at all times!

Congratulations Steph! They are great pictures. God Bless you for having all those people in with you. I'm actually surprised the hospital let that many people in, that's way too many. Good thing you were on drugs. Jason is adorable. I loved all the pictures. :cutie:

Let's see... we had a harrowing 15 hour drive up in freezing rain on highways that would've been better navigated with ice skates... accidents everywhere... then it turned to all snow when we had about an hour left. There was at least a foot on the ground when we got there and it continued to snow for the next 2 days. Then the day after Christmas it turned to ice again and we were stuck at my sister's house in the boonies because her road was impassable. Then the next day it was 55 degrees and all the snow and ice melted! It was weird. But that's Michigan for you... if you don't like the weather, wait 15 minutes and it will change. :sad2:

All that said... we did have a great time! We hadn't been "home" in 18 months so it was really good to see everyone. OH and the best part was that my mom drove up and surprised us! Everyone knew she was coming but us ~ that was pretty cool. As soon as I download my pics I'll post one of me and Uncle John.

Wow Love, that sounds like a scary drive. I would have freaked out. That was why I ended up flying up to NJ to see everyone. I was so afraid I'd encounter a storm a long the way and driving alone that would freak me out. I think in the long run it was cheaper to fly because by the time I paid for gas and for a motel room up and back and meals along the route, it would have ended up costing more than the round trip airfare which was $159. Glad you made it safely and what an awesome surprise to have your Mom drive up to be with you.

Hi Marshay

You never know is right.

Just glad she was an older woman who walked slow

Whoa, Kelly. That's some story. You know, when I call information, my phone company charges me a ridiculous amount of money. I try not to call unless its absolutely necessary. So she wanted to call information, but you had to pay for it? And you don't even know her. Uh, yeah, that wouldn't have happened with me either.

Of course, knowing me, I wouldn't have been nice and not said anything back to her. I don't care what people think of me, but I can't resist a good shouting match.:lmao:

Crazy lady.:headache:

Hey Tat, I can't believe I missed you. I am not on much anymore because I'm usually working at home but tonight I didn't have any work so got on and I missed you.

Use this for information, 800-466-4411. It's sponsored by Google and it's free information. I have it programmed into my cell phone and I also use it from my home phone, when I am home that is. The only thing it costs is against your minutes on your cell, there is no charge like $1.50 or anything like that. Plus when you are driving and unable to write a phone number down, they will connect you to your number for free as well.

Yeah, had she been younger, probably would have ran screaming out of the garage and there a ton of people walking along at that time of day...:goodvibes

Hey Nikki

Yeah, I think it would have been $1.75. She offered me 50 cents.

Truthfully it was not about the money. But I pictured her having to call info like 4 times, talking on phone forever, not being able to get my phone back. So, that is why I said no....

I thought about saying something back to her, but just wanted to get out of there :rotfl:

That is a very busy area, your intersection is the busiest in town so that is a good thing plus it's daylight but still always be careful and look around. Watch who you get in the elevator with and always be aware of who and what is around you. You know they say that you should always look people right in the eye in elevators and places and that way they know you are seeing them clearly and for the most part they dont' usually bother people who are paying attention to them as they can identify them too easily.

You too need to put that Google toll free 411 number in your cell phone. Don't dial 411 and pay those fees. I think it's about $1.50 or $1.75 as you said and that's so not fair.

Hey, I'm still here, I just hopped in the shower.

Thanks for the info. I'll put that in my cell phone now.

Yeah, I always look people in the eyes

At night, very dark down there. when I get out of elevator, I look slowsly to left and then right, as wall there...to make sure no one hiding

Then I look all around me as I walk as another wall someone could be hiding behind.

Then, I sound my car alarm, to make noise..LOL

What is the google 411 number?

Mommom- Good to see you are back. I've never heard of the spooky book. Will look for it. I thought for sure there was a Fearless Fourteen book. I am going this weekend and hope to get it. :thumbsup2 Stephanie Plum cracks me up.

Sharky - That was so weird. I would have done the same thing. People like that freak me out. I would be worried they might pull out a gun or a knife or something. Stay safe girl.

Have a great day everyone!

I have one more Patterson book to read after this one and then I think I'll start on the Plum series!

BTW, the "against medical advice" book, the boy is finally fighting back against his medical conditions and it's really turning into a profound book. He meets a new doc that says instead of trying to suppress all your issues with medications, let's start to address them head-on.

When I was at the newspaper in Louisiana our boss brought one in that she got as a gift and never used. We girls used to use it every day.It made my hands so nice. Yeah, the treatment felt sooooo good. The only downside was that it took 3.5 hrs to melt the wax so I didn't get to do it until like 11pm.

However, I did my hands, elbows and feet and they all feel much better this morning -- so soft!

I didn't know about this before. Many thanks! I will have to program it into my cell phone.

Hi guys!

I did the shopping for my Christmas present. I was a bad girl. I bought myself a PSP (Play Station Portable,) some accessories, and three games. Now I have both a Nintendo DS (their handheld) and the PSP. And a slew of Final Fantasy games for both. I love my Final Fantasy, and this gives me something to do between races during this bicycle racing season. Of course I could read, crochet or another one of my numerous hobbies. Or even play with my existing Nintendo DS but I heard that they had a Final Fantasy VII for the PSP and that was all she wrote.:rotfl: I need to hack and slash! It's good for my mood!

Too funny!!

I love the old first person shooter games like Time Crisis, Doom, Cheyenne, Police Trainer, etc. But alas we don't have any systems here to play them...
