Don't you just love it when they do that to you, lol? I remember having that done to us a few times by you kids but as you said you go back to having fun when what you are interested in comes back on, lol.

I'm so glad he had a good time and was surprised when he realized what he was getting to see!

Happy Valentine's Day Everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful day and that you all got some nice gifts from your special men in your lives.

I had a great day, we had a nice breakfast, exchanged gifts, went to the pool and swam most of the day, came back and showered, went out to eat and then came back and watched a movie. Then DH started to fall asleep, lol, he gets up so early, even when he's off as he's in such a habit of waking up at 4 a.m. that he can't sleep, then he falls asleep early, but that's okay, we had a great day!

Hi Michelle! Happy Valentine's Day! Seems like you and I are the only two on. I've been really bad lately about getting on, I am probably way too far behind to catch up so am just jumping back in.

I had a great Valentine's Day and hope you did as well!

And then I left you. Sorry QM. I was exhausted after all the driving and stress of the trip.

Yes and after that they are engaged, then married and moving out and having babies of their own. It's such a bittersweet time of life. You want them to live their own lives the natural way that things are meant to be but it sure is different when those kids you love move out get on their own and don't seem to need you the way they once did. If you did a good job raising them, you know they'll be okay but you never ever stop worrying, lol. Right Sharky? LOL!

I know. I think that they are turning out pretty good, but you''re right. We do always worry.

Friday came and we hit the road and headed toi Coalinga, California. Home of one of the largest holding areas for cattle for slaughter. Stinky. Now mind you Scotty took most of these pictures so...well you'll understand when you see them.

We will start with the pictures from our room. We managed to talk the kids into sharing a room and letting Mom and Dad have their own.

Nest time I take the pictures of the room. It wasn't bad for a Best Western, as a matter of fact I rather liked the little room.

We decided to go see where the race was going to be. The weather did not look promising.

We went to Red Robin because I wanted a drink with dinner. What a fiasco. Never again, talk about poor service. I plan on writing the company a nasty email today.

Loren macking on our onion ring tower. It tasted good.

A yummy Mai Tai. I am not sure that it was worth the poor service. Altgough it was so good.

Scotty's uniform and stuff all ready for race day.

Race day dawned and although it was in the 30's the weather looked much more promising.

Scotty all ready and pumped for the race.

As it turned out this was the bext part of the race for Scotty, he got about 10 miles out and someone crashed into him causing him to wreck. He bruised his tailbone and his arms. And broke his front wheel. For a non contact sport I am not real sure about it.

On the long straight 200+ mile ride home.

I saw Atlanta and Orlando weather on the tv...looked nice there...lol

That is a shame about Scotty. The person who crashed into him and broke his wheel, will that person pay to have his bike fixed?

Yeah the weather looked real nice in Atlanta and Orlando didn't it. I wishe they were gonna pay for it. But oh no we are out the grand or so for the front wheel.

He's sore but he volunteered to work. I am sure it is partly to help towards paying for the new wheel. And towards Disneyland. After all the trip was his idea this time.

I know that feeling. That is how I normally feel. That makes these races all the better. I have at least one weekend a month I get to see other places. And appreciate home all that much more.
