awww....well hey, to each his own.

To be honest, I am just the opposite--I DIDN'T think I'd love it. But I do! (I like the modern look for my home but didn't think it would appeal to me so much for a vacation stay but somehow it does! I think it's the view that gets me )

Well I had some good news on that front. At his school they have teams of teachers and the kids are separated to these teams, and they are supposed to change schools as complete teams including their teachers. That pleased me, as far as their band teacher he has taught in the district for 27 years and he is going to use his seniority to get the job he wants.

Oh that is great!! Still stinks that they are closing any schools either way but that is good that he's getting to stay with his team and more than likely his band teacher.

so my dumb old laptop still works online when I hook it up through the ethernet connection so that's not too bad. No new laptop today. Hopefully will get here tomorrow. It's been in Atlanta since last night but since I paid for 2 day shipment God forbid they deliver it early

No, interesting enough they are closing schools that bonds were set aside to fix them. I see it as a way to divert the money to their pet projects. The main reason this ticks me off so bad is this used to be a very wealthy district.

That's the thing that gets me. I have had packages sit in Cordelia a part of Fairfield for two days. Um is there in an unwritten rule that says they can't deliver early.

I didn't miss it!!! And I love it too! And you are so right... to each his own. I am different too~ in that I don't really like the contemporary look for my home but I like it in a hotel! We loved our one and only stay at the Contemporary when my kids were really little. You just cannot beat that view! It was awesome to watch the fireworks from our balcony!

I was checkin' out your new laptop today at Office Max while we were waiting for them to refill our ink cartridges! I was telling Tomato that you had one on the way and he said that if his company doesn't give him a laptop then we should get one of those for him to use until the kids and I move down and bring the desktop and then I could have it!

Sorry to post and run but I gotta get my clothes ready for tomorrow... gotta work!

the old contemporary? That is at BLT...but I'm pretty sure the rest of the Contemporary has stayed the same way it was before.

BTW I have never been in a room at the Contemporary (at least not that I can remember )

Yeah it seems to be that way. Like if you pay for 2nd day delivery they REFUSE to deliver it early if it arrives earlier. But if you pay for ground shipping and it arrives in two days they will deliver it to you regardless of the kind of shipping that you paid for. I loathe these stupid rules! If I had known the darn package was going to be shipping from Kentucky I would have saved some $ and sent it ground and I would have gotten yesterday. Blah!

How much was it at Office Max? That is AWESOME that Tomato wants to get one and then you will get to have it when you move to FL!! Then you can get online whenever the heck you want. WooHoo!! I say go for it girl!!

Yeah it is really dumb.

They would have called me by now to tell me I had a package being delivered that needed a signature if it did and they haven't so I'm assuming it doesn't need a signature. The camera package said it needed a signature on the web site whenever I tracked it and this one doesn't. I'm glad for that. My FIL keeps asking me about the freaking computer.....about when it's going to get here and why I got it and blah blah blah. He's like "Are you SURE it doesn't need a signature?? Are you sure it's not going to get here today??" (this was yesterday) I so should not have even told him about it. He's so nosy (and not the good kind of nosy...the annoying kind)!!
