Hi,
Just new here!
Where's the original thread?
I've got lots of things to catch up!

The original actually goes back to like 2007, so I think it is long gone. I don't even remember the original thread. Welcome.

I am Michele. I am from Fairfield, California. It's in Northern California. I am a happily married Mom of two teenage girls and one very soon to be teenage boy. I hope that helps you to get started.

Welcome Ruby! Tell us about yourself.

I'm a mom to two young girls (almost 4 yo and 2 months old tomorrow). I love to do crafts, scrapbook, garden and play volleyball. I love long walks on the beach, holding hands...:lmao::rotfl2::rotfl:

Steph -- I  the pictures of Jason!! He is such a cutie!!

I know I missed some other responses but need to go fold laundry now...

Will check in later.

Hey, Michelle!

So tonight I sit down to watch American Idol on our DVR and can't find it. I'm REALLY starting to panic and get upset. I totally can't believe that FIOS messed up the recording.

Then DH says, are you sure it's on?

I'm like YES! It's on every Tuesday and Wednesday.

DH: But today is Monday.

OOPS!!

But I'm so relieved. Yes, it's silly to be addicted to a show like that .... :lmao:

Oh you know it!!

Actually I can't complain. DH is downstairs folding one basket of clothes and I have 2 upstairs, so at least I don't have to do it all.

I totally understand. Kody and I come on Disboards every Tuesday to the American Idol thread to find out what Adam sang and then go watch it on youtube as soon as it is posted. We usually get to see it three hours early then. We just can't wait. I wonder what we will do when the season is over?

That's so nice. Scotty has always been so good about helping me. I feel really lucky.

Oh I totally hear you!!

I still have to decide if I want to get Idol tickets or not for when they come to DC (if they have any left). I'm worried about getting a babysitter since we don't have any regular sitters and DH's family who is only 20 minutes away is sort of iffy about babysitting. They'll help out in an emergency but rarely volunteer for anything so I always feel bad asking them.

That was me with my in laws. I asked my mother in law once and well, I could go into the whole story but it was the only time.

I am going to give Kody the computer now because she needs to finish her report for History.

Good night all!

Mine was okay. I got the hubby to agree to go see Static X with me (guilted him into it) next Tuesday. I'm paying, but didn't have anyone else to go with and didn't want to go by myself (read - I didn't want to drive to Pittsburgh so I suckered him into doing it for me).

Then I went out with my kids, mom and dad, grandmother, and aunt and uncle to dinner. Not sure why, but Grandma wanted to go to a biker bar, so that's where we went. Silly grandma.

Then we went back to my mom's house where I somehow managed to get into a religious debate with my mom. And it was all because I said I like Obama.:confused3 She preached for close to two hours.:lmao: Then after I got home, she called me crying, apologized and asked me if I was mad at her. Sometimes I just don't get that woman. I don't care what people believe and you can preach to me all day without me getting mad. Not like anyone's going to change my opinions now. But it takes a lot more than that to piss me off. You would think my mother would know that by now.

Oh, and my loving husband got me lottery tickets.:lmao: I won a whole $5.

Glad you got your Dh to go with you

sound like a fun day....Tha was too funny your mom thought she upst you...aren't moms's cute sometimes

Crap, I forgot to answer you. I blame it on my illiteracy.

I am. I was just talking about it to my sister today. We might stop there the night of June 12 and just drive all the way on Saturday. Of course, if we do that and make it there too early, we'll have to get another hotel room in the Orlando area for the night of the 13th. Maybe we'll just leave later and drive through the night. We've done it before. It was terrible, but better than my last eanxperience on a plane. Just not sure I want to tour US/IOA on no sleep.

We're really winging this trip. I have no idea what to expect. Haven't made any reservations or anything and everyone informed me that they want to go to Planet Hollywood. I should really call them.

I would vote for not doing it the way that you tour the parks on no sleep. You want to be refreshed and have a nice vacation:thumbsup2

Hi Love! Good to see you! It's been so long. Thanks, things here are much better now!

Aww, now that is a nice thoughtful gift! Just what I was talking about! How sweet :lovestruc

I wish I could say I do something with SR :(

Thanks Karen :goodvibes I hope you had a nice day too!

Bummer about the computers! When it rains, it pours! Be safe out there and enjoy your travels! See you this week :yay:

Hi Tat, good to see you

I think of the same thing when I hear that song...I loved Dr. Greene :sad1:

Hey, it was nice of her to call and apologize. I am with you, I just listen and do not get mad.

See you Friday :thumbsup2

Thanks girl.....I was very touched by it:goodvibes

For those of us going to WDW in November/December I found this little bit of info.

http://www.wdwinfo.com/Photos/ICE-gaylord/index.htm

I had never heard of this down in FL before but I have seen pictures from the one they do at the Grand Ol' Opry Resort in TN and it looks very cool :thumbsup2 (no pun intended )

I think Chris and I will do this on our down day on our trip. It's not expensive and looks neat.

That looks like it will be beautiful:goodvibes

You guys....I'm beside myself with excitement right now! I just found out that the Miami Dolphins (my FAVORITE Pro Football team) will be playing the Atlanta Falcons AT the GA Dome the day before my birthday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (Sept. 13th) I'm SOSOSOSOSOOOOOOOO going to that game!!!! I haven't seen my boys play live and in person since the year before Marino retired (I think that was '98 or '99. I'm SO freakin' excited!!! And last season the Dolphins had such a good season so I'm really hoping that this year is even better. I may even go and see them play on December 20th in TN if they are having a good season (that's the last regular season game). God I can't wait!!! :hjumping1:

How awesome!!! That will be fun for you:woohoo:

Yes, awhile ago they had an assignment at school where they were asked if you could choose anyone to be your parents who would they be? Evan said he would pick George Lucas to be his dad and Sandy from Sponge Bob to be his mom.

Really. :sad2:

I LOVE that song!!! I wonder if they have that on itunes? I'd like that on my ipod. :thumbsup2

Kids are so funny :rotfl2:

I bet they do:thumbsup2

Okay, sorry to post and run... but I gotta! Good to see you all!

Oh one more thing... it's official... we are moving to Florida! Tomato accepted the job today!

The kids still don't know... so shhhhhhhhh it's still a secret! :rotfl:[/QUOTE

Congrats to you and your family

I am so sorry that DH didn't remember - showed this to my DH and he shook his head. We have been married over 30 years and he forgot my birthday the first year we were married:guilty: Boy he hasn't forgotten since then.......:rotfl:

Hope you are feeling better!!!!! Thanks for the warm wishes!!

I am also in a self contained classroom (teacher's assistant) - special education - kindergarten - the k-2 autism room is right near us and we share a lunch table with them. I so admire you - it takes a gifted person to work with autism:hug: We are not done with school until June 18th.

WHAT A GREAT GIFT:woohoo:My DD in college just sent me a homemade Disney Mom's Day card - I laughed so hard I teared up.....SHE IS THE BEST:love:

I agree with you - the song makes me think of Dr. Greene - that was one of the best episodes.

DITTO THAT!!!:cloud9:

It would be toooooo easy for me to hit that purchase button:rotfl:

YAY for you!!!!!:yay:

Congrats on the move!!!! When will you be moving?

I hope everyone enjoyed their respective Mother's Days....

I enjoyed mine with the exception of my mother (sigh). I was childless yesterday but I got to talk to my girls several times yesterday:) Dh and I went to see the new Star Trek Movie IT WAS SOOOOOO GOOD:dance3:

The only black cloud was my mother which it would take volumes to explain her to you but basically she is one of the most negative people I know. I have done everything in my power not to be like her. She doesn't understand the concept of being a mother or a grandmother - she has no real relationship with my kids - thank goodness for my MIL:love:

In a nutshell my MIL is in declining health - I invited both for Mom's Day....my mom told me she wasn't coming over unless my MIL did. Well Saturday my MIL said she didn't feel up to it so we told her we would have a dinner party for her on her birthday - May 31st. My mom, brother and his family would all come and we could celebrate mom's day and bday. She liked that idea.

I called my mom and told her of the change of plans. She didn't say anything to me but got on the phone with MIL and blamed her for making my mom the ONLY mother on earth that will be sitting at home alone. She yelled at my MIL and then hung up on her...

Needless to say I am sooooooo angry at my mom - she is the one who said she would not come unless my MIL came and then to yell at her friend of many years.........grrrrrrrrrrrrr

Some how I will end up being blamed for all of this. My brother and I keep a decent relationship but he will excuse her that she is getting old - my mother is only 78......

Enough blabbering.....I could go on and on ........

Please understand I had a very nice day - my DH was wonderful......

Have a Magical Disney Day!!

WOW......

Glad you had a good mother day despite that:goodvibes

it is fitted at top and flirty at the bottom, meaning you can twirl it

very pretty:goodvibes

Then we went to a place called Che Burger Che Burger for dinner

It is soooooooooooooo good

They have like 50 toppins, free that you can put on your burgers
