Sounds fun.

I actually enjoy it! probably enjoy it more b/c DH takes the girls and I get some alone time!

However, the past 2 days, DD finally has told me that she wants to pick out her own clothes. I knew this day would come...I was just dreading it...I like dressing her b/c I know I'll match the colors etc

So first day, she picked blue leggings with red cherries on them with a hot pink top -- YECH! I hate pink and red together...not sure why, but I always have...(I also don't like black tops with blue jeans...)

So do you all have any color combinations that you hate to see or wear? ...or is it just me?

Hey, Michelle and Sharky!

tomorrow there is a huge consignment sale only 3 blocks from my house so I'm hoping to score big on clothes and such.

but before I go there, I plan to stop by this ritzy neighborhood yard sale -- they have advertised "high end" childrens' clothes...I'm curious to see what quality and how much they will cost...I checked DD3's clothes situation and although we are good for summer, she hardly has anything for winter and next summer (I like to buy her clothes on clearance or consignment sales in advance...) I'm hoping to rectify that tomorrow!

That sounds great. Hope you get a lot of awesome deals:thumbsup2

Hi girlies!:goodvibes

Hi Chele

How are ya doing?:)

-- hangs head in shame -- "no"

I can't even say "not yet" because I honestly don't have plans to join anytime soon...I just am too afraid of the time commitment it would take.

By the time I check email, IMs, our library website and a few bargain websites for children things, and of course DIS, my computer time is over...

I hear ya

Maybe when girls get a bit older...

really is a lot of fun and great way to stay in touch with family and old friends:goodvibes

That was the hardest part of letting the kids pick their own clothes. Kody would come up these outfits that just would not match and were plain:eek: scary. I made the deal that at home they pick out what they were going to wear but if we left the house I got to help them pick.

Not sure of any actual combo that I do not like, but I do hate the not matching thing:laughing:

But here is my trick...

Let her pick out the pants or skirt or shorts'

Then, give her two shirts to choose from, three at the most

This way you can find something that matches, but she still gets to be the one to do the "picking"

:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

Hey ladies :goodvibes

Yeah, I'm suffering from Facebook-itus also. It is easy to have on in the background or a separate browser tab and just check in on every once in a while.

Hope everyone has a good weekend, good luck with the bargains Marshay. And Chele, Bean is exactly the same way with choosing outfits - some truly scary combos of you don't check with her :scared1: Big contrast to my PumpkinGirl, who make sure EVERYTHING goes together well.

Looks like I have a Costco trip in store tomorrow and will probably have to help someone I don't even know move some boxes/furniture. The upside of that is we get a free frame/mattress/boxspring for Bean out of the deal :thumbsup2

Cheers and hugs to you all!

*bows and tips hat, then rolls on to the next thread*

Oh, and come look at my Halloween T-Shirt designs on my PTR, nudge nudge :rolleyes1 ;)

Yes, I hate pink with anything. I don't own anything pink.

I hate green. I hate yellow. I hate orange. Anything dark is usually safe with me.

My husband can't match clothes to save his life. You should have seen what he'd dress the kids in when he was in charge of getting them ready for school.:scared:

Hey all!

yep I have FacebookITUS Really REALLY bad!!!
It's just a lot easier to leave it on and check it every now and then instead of checking alot of diff. sites.
Plus the scrabble games at midnight really help put me to sleep on those rough nights!;)

Facebook!:rotfl:

:lmao: that's probably true

Hey girl

Spent about 2 hrs outside after work. It was gorgeous

Trent was playing on his swingset and then playing cars

Steve took his motorcycle for a spin after he mowed the lawn

Then we went to Wally world

We got home bot 9:30

Sorry I missed ya :goodvibes

oh glad you had a good day girl!

Exactly!!

I'm here -- where are you?!??;)

I was asleep already by that time. I'm an old fuddy duddy.

That's awesome about the consignment sale. Hope you got some good buys:thumbsup2

haha too funny. Good luck with your DD

as for not liking color combination for clothes...I don't have anything that bothers me. As long as it matches. :confused3

Hey there Mike! Hope the Costco trip was a success. Love that place!! And score on the new box spring and mattress for Bean :woohoo:

I'm glad that Bean has made a transition from pink to browns. And yes, us husbands do lack a bit in the realm of fashion sense. But it works out well for me - Roxy knows my sizes and buys my clothes for me so I don't have to deal with it :thumbsup2

Costco was good (we got what we needed, had a cheap lunch, and didn't spend too much $$$). And yes, it was a good score on the new (to us) bed. We helped them bring a bunch of stuff downstairs and filled up their car and truck with boxes, so they were happy. I also scored some speakers and some ammo - yay!

no problem . now just need to go back and read your Pre trip

was reading up on Disneyland today at barnes and nobles while trent was playing at their train table

Can't wait to make a trip there in a couple of years :wizard:

Another good idea

The advantage of DD picking out her clothes is that she actually does it quicker -- no arguments about getting dressed, so I guess this is better.

Hey Marshay

Getting ready quicker is definitely one advantage:thumbsup2

So nice to know I'm not the only one with FacebookITUS...:rotfl2:

I love and miss you all! We have had such a nice streak of weather that we've been outside a lot. And get this...I might just clean the windows today...GASP...

Glad that Costco was successful. I know what you mean about spending too much $$$ there. That always seems to happen to me too. I just can't seem to pass up a buying in bulk deal.

Has Bean tried out her new bed? How does she like it? And yay for speakers and ammo!! :woohoo: What kind of gun do you shoot? I haven't been to the range in SO long but I like to shoot Chris' Glock 45 cal. I used to have a 45 Cal. Walther but we sold that. We also used to have a Desert Eagle but I never got to shoot that since the recoil probably would have ripped my arm right out of the socket

Miss you too Betsy (but I already told you that on FB ). Glad you are having nice weather. Want to come over and do my windows?? I really really need to clean and do laundry. I've been so unmotivated since I was sick last month. Sad, isn't it?

I ordered my new Canon Digital SLR camera about an hour ago from Amazon! :woohoo::woohoo:I'll have it on Wednesday. I CAN'T WAIT!!! :woohoo::woohoo:
