Hi Betsy. Sorry to hear about your migraine but glad you were able to get some relief.

:rotfl: about your DH not wanting to miss out on those cup cakes. The way to a man's heart is for sure through his stomach (sometimes )

That's exactly how I was too about the email. Bummer that it didn't live up to our expectations. I'm going to keep my eye on it though. And I agree with you on the ppl that buy the stuff down there and then mark it up a ton. I hate that! Disney will make a killing selling it's own stuff on the web site. :thumbsup2

Yeah I thought it was rather interesting too. :confused3

It's boring. I'm not as busy as I thought it was going to be and Wednesday is always a slow day. It just seems a bit worse today for some reason. Maybe because I'm waiting for next weekend to hurry up and get here.

You are so right, food is one way to a man's heart :rotfl2: ;)

Yeah, between all of us if we keep checking...I'm sure we'll get the low down on the merchandise arriving online!!!

Sorry your day is going so slow. It seems like when you need more time it flies but when you are looking forward to something, it drags.

I think it is an age thing. I was that way when I was younger but I was older than Kacy is. I raised them to be interested in politics and voting because is California so many young people do not vote and I want to make sure that at least mine do.

I think that is great :goodvibes

Ok, I guess I was a little out of it when I posted to Carla this morning that I had been married for 12 years....it's only been 8 :lmao::rotfl2::lmao::rotfl2:Seriously, I went back to quote things and was like, "WHAT THE HECK" :confused3 :rotfl2: Who even begins to know why I did that :rotfl:

Hi OB :wave2:

:lmao: My DH and I made 10 years on the 8th -- but we've been together for 15. Easy to get it confused. :thumbsup2

Well, as of 6 am this morning, they arrived in PA...not sure of the town, just somewhere in the boonies(no offense Niiki :rotfl:)

THey took a 2 hr nap and then visited with his mom and then went to Five guys for dinner

Tonight she had the pleasure of meeting up with Nikki and her kids there

Shane had a ball practice I think and they came aftewards for about an hr

They are having the meet on Friday still with Betsy, too

I can not post pics from my phone or email them. So I texted Nikki the pics, in hope she would put it up ;)

QM says Hi and she misses everyone :grouphug:

Hi QM !!:goodvibes

So I did some sleuthing of my own. Cause I'm nosey like that. I was looking at my '07 TR and saw a post from DDad so I clicked his profile and it says his last activity on here was March 17th of this year.....I wonder where he's posting at or if he's just lurking. :confused3 Not that it matters but I'm just curious.

Hmmm... very interesting.

Gotta love the new search feature on here. It actually lists the newest post by someone first when you are searching for posts by one person. I found where he is posting at. Nothing major. I wonder what ever happened to DMom. She's the one I miss. Oh well :confused3:sad2:

Yeah I often wonder how her and the kids are doing!

Where is everyone this morning!?!? I'm so lonely

I'm here !

OMG OMG OMG did everyone get the email that Disney park merchandise is now available for sale on the Disney store web site!?1?!? I'M SOOOOOO EXCITED ABOUT THIS!!!!!!! Finally, Disney made a GOOD change!!! :cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:

NO! I will have to check this out! :woohoo:

Yeah, we are all in the know! :thumbsup2

You are so right there. And it's even weirder for me right now because I need more time to finish up my quilting projects before my quilt retreat at the end of July so time seems to be going too fast for that but I want it to hurry up and fly by (or at least this next week and a half) so I can be in Kissimmee. :confused3:rotfl:

:lmao: My DH and I made 10 years on the 8th -- but we've been together for 15. Easy to get it confused. :thumbsup2

Congratulations on 10 years girl!!!

I thought the originals here would find that interesting.

Me too :confused3

It's not as great as I thought it was going to be but still worth a look. We'll have to keep an eye on it to see when they decide to add more apparel.

Awww poor Elie.

I totally missed AI all together last night :sad2: I didn't get home from my Mom's quilt class until 9:50

Good sleuthing work Kelly!! :thumbsup2 I think together we could have a very successful travel agency

aw bummer...I actually saw it this time

Heck Yeah..I am in :wizard:

I just read on the Dining thread that the new online ADR system will be opperational by May 26th. Should we be :scared: or :cheer2:? I :confused3 yet.

I was looking at that last nite. Looks cool, but I bet it crashes:laughing:

That is a good idea from them, but bummer just tshirts. HOpefully they add more later on:goodvibes

wow!!! Many thanks Kelly!! That's some awesome sleuthing. Didn't they used to do it by month?

Oh, goodie!! Then we can use this for our upcoming trips!

This should be cool! Esp if you see something in the park that you like but don't have time to get it or don't want to drag it around the park and in luggage.

No problem:goodvibes I think it was airtran does it month my month

Morning :sunny:

Hi Carla :wave2:

I'm finally up! I got another migraine in the middle of the night so luckily I was able to take and Imitrex and get a few hours of good sleep! I wish they all would come in the middle of the night!

We ended up skipping Cheesecake Factory and going to Houlihan's last night. When DH saw I made his favorite cupcakes, he said that would have to be dessert and we could never go to the Factory and not have dessert :rotfl2:

Carla - I about flipped out of my seat when I saw the Disney e-mail about merchandise too. Then I was like BLAH...there is nothing good there! 2 tshirts :confused3 I wanted more apparel too...hopefully they really are adding more soon. I think they will make a killing that way. Heck, people down in FL go to the parks and mark everything up and sell it on ebay along with those 2 other sites that jack up the prices and charge ridiculous shipping.

That new search feature is awesome! I was just thinking of DDad and DMom the other day and wondered whatever happened with them. Interesting that he was on in March :scratchin:

How's work today? Are you more busy since your Dad and Uncle are back now?

Hey girl

Glad you got rid of your migraine

too funny about cupcakes

How was houlihans?:goodvibes
Hey Betsy!! Elie is doing fine...sleeping now but I"m going to wake her up soon and nurse her. then we are all going on our first solo outing to a park to play and have a picnic lunch. Rachel definitely misses her playgroup friends so we'll meet them there. I really haven't been to this playgroup since the allergy-no food drama back last year.[/QUOTE

Glad Elie is doing fine

Let us know how your playgroup goes. Hopeuflly no drama:goodvibes

Good Morning!

I am gonna be obtuse and not quote anyone, sorry. Blame it on it being way too early to think.

AI was interesting lastnight. Adam was wonderful and I was going to vote for him and tried until a little after 10 could not get through and I fell asleep trying. I just hope he doesn't end up getting eliminated. Not that anyone else was that great but you know.

Hi girl

Adam was good.

Danny was so so

Cris..did awful of song Paul and whats her name picked

But the way he redid Heartless....was amazing

I am thinking Kris and Adam..final two :woohoo:

I think that is great :goodvibes

dang! I could have watched with you! ARe you going to watch live tonight??

Awesome!! We'll have to come up with a catchy TA name

Me too.

 yeah that's what I'm thinking too.

Yeah that's what I'm hoping. I'm starting to think it's just stuff that says "WDW" or "DL" and has pictures of the castles n such instead of the actual merchandise they sell at the parks.

I am not sure.

Steve and Trent are addicted to his INdiana Jones Lego game and they played for like 3 hrs last night

If I can gain control of the tv, I will

We will have to put on our thinking caps to think of a good one :thumbsup2

But I hope it does eventually work, I want to try it, looks fun...was looking at pics of it on another website

You are probably right

:rotfl: ho9pe you can get control then. AI is important. And it will kill me (as usual) to not be able to talk to you about it until you watch LOL.

yes....hmmmmm

Oh there's pictures up!?!? Where?? I wanna see!!

Think of me while ya'll are watching tonight. I will be enjoying 4 hours of Dance classes :sad2:

awwww poor Jamie :( I hope you are able to record it so you can at least watch it later.

Hi Guys.

Kacy is doing a report in history on the Kent State riots during Viet Nam and it is now creating tons of questions for me to answer. She is thinking that she might go into journalism. I was always interested in that myself. We shall see.

Kody wants to be a drug and alcohol councilor. Where that one comes from I don't know. I always figured she would be an environmentalist, who knows.

Well to be honest ... I don't watch. Tried to watch the Biggest Loser last night. Then I found out it was 3 hours long :scared1: That killed it for me. I seem to like the Reality shows and then I drift off during the middle of the season. :confused3

Thanks girl :rotfl: :goodvibes

WOW....that is a lot...is that 3 classes?

Tap, Ballet, Hip Hop, Gymnastics, Baton -- actually now that I look at it -- it's only 3 hours but 1/2 drive there and back makes it 4. Plus the closer we get to the review, it seems the longer they keep them.

Wow, that is quite impressive. Mine now want to be a teacher or librarian and a chocolate maker / builder. :lmao::lmao:

Loren still is waffling between military and anything else. I told him I would prefer he does really well in school and tries for a military academy.

I am not all that surprised at Kacy but as I say Kody shocks me completely. She has been researching it for months.

Reading about how long you spend at dance class wow. Do you read while you wait?

I try to sometimes. It just get so loud it can be hard to concentrate (kids running back and forth, mom's talking). I also use the time to catch up with my sister (her kids go there too).

At least your kids have some sort of plan. I graduated high school and had no clue.

yeah i hate when they do the REALLY long shows. I usually lose interest too but for some reason AI has kept my attention. I like to catch the reality shows when they're on re-run. Like what VH1 does.

Wow that is nuts girl!! Hope you have something to keep you busy while you wait

I meant to quote ChrisMiss...

I hope you get your teaching job back! That's strange how they do things.

congrats on 1.5 pounds!! that's wonderful!

Hey all

Today was a Mother's Day Tea at school.

It was so cute

They had kids come one by one to door and give their mom a potted flower and wish them a happy mother's day and Kiss them.

Then, the kids had to escort us to our tables and pull out our tables.

Once all moms got there, they sang four songs....very cute

Then, They had drinks and dessert for the moms. The kids had to take our order and go back and pick it up for us and deliver it to us. Then had to clean up when we were done

Here is the best of all:

THey had to fill in sentences with thing about their Mom. The teacher read them out loud and then the mom try to guess which sentences are about them.

Here is what Trent wrote about me:

My mom is 82 Years Old.
My Mom is prettiest when she wears MAKE-UP
My Mom likes to make CHEESE BREAD(knew it was me by this one)
My mom always says " I DON'T KNOW."
My mom makes me laugh WHEN SHE MAKES SILLY FACES.

Some moms were 20, some were 10, NOT ME

I was 82!!!!!!!!!!!

:lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao:

okay here I was thinking how cute this was, and then BAM, you hit me with the 82!! :rotfl2::rotfl::lmao::rotfl::lmao::rotfl2:

Hey gang!
I haven't been on in a while and need to catch up. This is what I pulled up, will go back to catch up or maybe Sharky would be kind enough to give me an update!!:flower3:
Carla: so sorry about Chris!! But maybe I can help!

The GAC (Guest Assistance Card)is wonderfull and while most of the time with a w/chair you don't need it it does work seperatly and better. But you do not have to have anything written up by a Dr. Although it may help. They didn't even look at B's. In fact legally they can't ask you specific details. But you do have to be specific what you want it for. He can't wait for lengthy times, no sun, etc.... it's according to your needs. We had this with Braeton and it was great! We are going to have to get one in Aug for DH. Do get it that is what it is there for. For those who need it!! And it is what is says. It assist you with whatever your needs are. We knew several people that were using them for different reasons and things.

O.k. Gotta jump off. Haven't been home too long from Shannons surgery. have lots to do and TYLER is coming home today!!!:dance3: He's been visiting my Sis about an hour and a half away for almost 2 weeks!!

Leah! Great to see ya. How is Shannon doing now? I must have missed something about the surgery...? I still have to read further so you've probably mentioned this but I'm kinda replying page by page so as not to overwhelm myself. :goodvibes

So now that we have a trip in the works, I'm starting to plan it!! :cool1:

Still deciding if I'll do a TR...I certainly want to but not sure of the time commitment.

So far I listed the top 5 priorities we want to do in each park, then a few more if we have time and am working on the restaurants.

We haven't decided if we'll just pay OOP, do the DDP or purchase the TIW card (Tables in Wonderland card gives 20% discount at most TS).

So I printed the menus for places we might eat at this trip (mostly in MK, Epcot or on the monorail resorts) and will look them over in the next few days/weeks and decide.

It's exciting to be planning again!!:goodvibes

how fun!!! I say do the DDP but I'm sure you can get a better idea by sitting down with the menus and such. :goodvibes

MORNING and HAPPY SATURDAY!!!!

Thought for the day - why does the scale at home show much better numbers (of course it is first thing in the morning;) then the scale at JC? :rotfl::rotfl:

Love my scale first thing in the morning - naked:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

This morning down 6 pounds................

AHHHHHHH but will it say that at JC Weds Afternoon......pretending that it will:dance3::dance3:

Off to clean

Have a Magical Disney Day

that's awesome! Hope JC says the same thing today...

Hi everybody!

I have been a bad Diser. Here and lurking but no commenting. I am feeling kind of in a blue funk, my right arm and hand have been giving me a hard time so I am pampering it a little.

aww Chele...

Another lurker

I need to get out of my funk too. Nothing really going on, just haven't been able to get my act together.

I am psyched though because I get to see QM and Tat on Friday for dinner :woohoo:

lucky duck!

OK, so yes, I know God is real and He does answer prayers. But this became more real to me tonight.

My parents left on Thursday for WDW. Sometime after they left, I was sitting down for breakfast and I was overcome by this incredibly strong desire to pray for them on the road. So I did.

And it wasn't enough. I just had this sense of urgency to really pray for them. So I did.

This happened 2 more times. In fact I was in tears and just told God I don't know what's going on but please send his angels to protect my parents. I was going to call them but then got caught up with nursing Elizabeth and then the feeling passed.

Well, tonight my mom called. She said she didn't want to worry us but they had a very close call when they got on I-95 after leaving our place. A tractor-trailer was carrying three concrete dividers and they came loose...right in front of my parents. My dad was able to get around it by "an inch" my mom said. She was screaming b/c she thought they were goners. The beams ended up hitting the two cars behind them but my parents were unhurt. (I forgot to ask about the other drivers).

When she told me this, I just started crying again... I realized how good God is and how we are to obey Him when he tells us to do something.

I never had a feeling like that before or had a prayer request answered in such an overt way.

Wow!!!

WOW, talk about chills!! This is just amazing.

I know others have had that feeling...I just don't recall it before in such a vivid way.

OK, I'm going to start my PTR!! I decided that having a PTR will help motivate me to get working on this trip.

awesome! I wanna join!

So, part of my funk is coming from Eliza being sick. She has been running a fever literally since Wednesday evening. I give her Motrin or Tylenol and it goes down, then when it wears off it goes right back up. I talked to the Ped and they said as long as there are no other symptoms to just keep doing what I'm doing. They say it's probably something viral. So I start getting worried today and of course it's Saturday and the Ped is out so I took her to the Walgreen's Take Care Clinic. The only thing she had was slightly swollen lymph nodes. He told me to keep doing what I was doing. Fast forward to a little while ago and she throws up everywhere :sad2:UGH!

Sorry for the vent, I'm just tired and worried.

oh no! I'm praying....

Glad she's doing ok after the shots. Aww, Rachel will enjoy getting to see her playmates again. Oh boy, I remember the whole allergy food drama that you dealt with. Sounds like enough time has passed that it shouldn't be an issue. Does that Mom still go to the group?

I'll tell ya, those Mommie groups can be pretty crazy...I learned that the hard way

Oh good luck at the playgroup. I remember all that drama you had with them last year.

Playdate was fine. Yes, that mom was there and we all had a picnic lunch. I just told Rachel to stay on our blanket while eating since we had cheese on our sandwich and cheese chips. Nothing was said and it all worked out. Most importantly, Rachel had lots of fun with the other kids.

So I was nursing Elie and went to scratch my neck...felt something hard...thought it might be a scab at first. Since it was dark, I couldn't see.

As soon as she was done, I went to check it out...thought, it might be a tick since I was working in the garden today.

Sure enough, it was!

Aaaaah! I never had a tick before. DH tried to pull it with a tweezer but it wasn't coming. So then he light some matches, blew them out and put the unlit match on the tick. He said the idea is to make the tick uncomfortable enough so that it comes out on its own.

Took 5 matches but it worked.

Then I got worried that DD3 might have one since she was outside with me. So DH took a flashlight and we checked all over her body while she was lying in bed. No ticks.

Then we checked our cat since he was outside, too. No ticks.

All I can think of is Lyme Disease! :scared1: Hopefully we caught it in time...it was less than 6 hours...maybe only 3.

ahh....skeery!! I hope you don't have that ring around it.

Yes, Happy Mom's Day to all. Hope you celebrate this day better than me! :rotfl2:

We are sitting in church (topic is the Maternal part of God) and at the end where the pastor says, "Happy Mother's Day!", DH leans over to me and says, "Is today Mother's Day?"

"Yep", I said.

Then when we get in the car, he says, "uh, so you want to go out to eat somewhere?"

Ridiculous...yes, let's just head to McDonald's for Mom's day since all the nice restaurants are BOOKED!

But I held these thoughts to myself and just said, well, I didn't plan anything for today since I wasn't sure what might be going on.

DH says, well, obviously I forgot it was Mother's Day...I thought it was Wednesday (???) or next week. Sorry.

So we are home now...I'll go warm up some leftovers...

At this point, I am disappointed but have to laugh...DH just refuses to look at a calendar. I was actually thinking of reminding him last week but then thought why?

Oh my goodness! Silly DH! I read further and saw that you had a relaxing day so that is good!

Happy Mother's day everybody! And happy Sunday to you non Mom's! My Mother's day has started really nice. Text messages and such from my buddies. And breakfast in bed from Kacy. She made some delicious and fluffy pancakes and served them to me in bed. Yes, it's nice when your kids get old enough to cook.

how sweet of her! Sounds yummy!

So, Steve and Trent just gave me my mother's Day Present.

They made a picture collage of pics of Trent and Trent and Steve from year he was born to present on a DVD and put the most awesome song on it...

It is a remix of Somewhere over the rainbow and What a wonderful World...

It was done by a Hawaiian man who passed away this past year I believe. You should be able to find it on youtube by typing those two songs together

It is such an amazing song :lovestruc

aw, they are SO great! I know that song. It's been out a few years, really beautiful song. I didn't realize he died though. :sad2:

Happy Mother's Day Everyone! I am afraid to push my luck and do a lot of posting because I am lucky to be even on a computer but I had to wish you all a very Happy Mother's Day!

Marshay sorry your mother's day wasn't the way it should have been, but good for you to put it all behind you and just enjoy the day!!!!

Michele, glad you had a great Mother's Day with Breakfast in Bed!

Love, I am sorry to hear you are still getting bad news, I sure hope this is the end of it and that you had a great Mother's Day inspite of having to do shopping!!

Betsy and Tat, I can't wait for dinner Friday night! Get ready for a big , you know you can't get away without one from me!!!

Kelly, Happy Mother's Day to my most favorite Mom and am so glad you had such a nice day and awesome gift!

Jamie, Happy Mother's Day girl, hope it was just awesome.

Col. Mustard, thanks for the nice Mother's Day wishes!

Chrismom, Hope you had a special Mother's Day!

LeeLee I just know Braeton gave you a great mother's day as did Tyler. Hope everyone is well and you had a great day!

If I missed anyone I am sorry I am just trying to post quick before something else goes wrong!

My computer died, as you all know, now last night Bryan's computer, which was newer than mine totally died, so we got out my really old one that was given to me from an old company I worked for and the mouse didn't work but Bryan was able to get it working so don't know for how long! I gotta get a job so I can afford a new computer! I don't know what I'll do if I can't get online at all! :scared1:

We stopped for two days on the border of GA and TN. We stayed in Trenton, GA, unfortunately too far to go visit Carla. We've been to the Incline Railway which scared the bejesus out of me!:scared1: It was so steep that when you got in the car you literally sat nearly on your back the way the seats are situated so that as you start up the incline at that 72.5% grade you eventually are facing not only forward but you can actually look straight out the roof of the car which is all glass. I was almost having a heart attack. We also went up the Look Out Mtn Road to the top of the mountain on this really windy mountain road and I have never been so scared in my life, not even driving over the mtn in Bedford, PA! The macadam road is two narrow lanes, one each way, the white line on the outer side of the lanes and literally less than 6 inches of macadam and then nothing, it drops straight down the mtn. If you go off the side of the road you will end up in a heap at the bottom of the mtn. They didn't even have guard rails on a lot of the road. It was freaking scary! The only funny part was we started up the hill in TN and then suddenly we crossed into GA on that windy road and then further up we crossed back over in to TN. Off and on all day we were in and out of one state and back in the other!

Finally we went to Ruby Falls, you go down an elevator a couple hundred feet and then you get out and walk thru this cave to a depth of 1120 feet to this absolutely breathtaking undergrounde waterfall which is 145 feet high.

oh no...sorry about the computers!!! Let's hope this one stays with ya!

Okay, I'm a little confused as to what all that was but it sounds like you laughed in the face of danger for a day. :goodvibes

Mine was okay. I got the hubby to agree to go see Static X with me (guilted him into it) next Tuesday. I'm paying, but didn't have anyone else to go with and didn't want to go by myself (read - I didn't want to drive to Pittsburgh so I suckered him into doing it for me).

Then I went out with my kids, mom and dad, grandmother, and aunt and uncle to dinner. Not sure why, but Grandma wanted to go to a biker bar, so that's where we went. Silly grandma.

Then we went back to my mom's house where I somehow managed to get into a religious debate with my mom. And it was all because I said I like Obama.:confused3 She preached for close to two hours.:lmao: Then after I got home, she called me crying, apologized and asked me if I was mad at her. Sometimes I just don't get that woman. I don't care what people believe and you can preach to me all day without me getting mad. Not like anyone's going to change my opinions now. But it takes a lot more than that to piss me off. You would think my mother would know that by now.

Oh, and my loving husband got me lottery tickets.:lmao: I won a whole $5.

sweet! hope you have fun!!

your mom sounds sweet...

Morning Carla :goodvibes

Oh boy, SB now has a rash :sad2:Fever and all the fun stuff is over and now she is literally covered in a rash. My SIL is an Opthamologist but did have to practice Peds while so I called her yesterday and she said she thinks it's something called Roseola. Apparently this is something little one's can get and it starts with and unexplained fever and stomach problems. Once the fever is gone, a rash sets in. She said it is nothing to worry about since it's a viral infection that goes around. It's just hard to see her covered in a rash!

Ok, enough about me. How are you doing? How is Chris? I love the pics you posted on FB...you were so cute!!!

poor thing! I haven't read far enough but I hope the rash is gone!

I try to sometimes. It just get so loud it can be hard to concentrate (kids running back and forth, mom's talking). I also use the time to catch up with my sister (her kids go there too).

At least your kids have some sort of plan. I graduated high school and had no clue.

I had no plan myself. They had a teacher in elementary school that had them start thinking about what they were going to be when they grew up. The girls have continued to think about it. In some ways they are so grown up it scares me.

yeah i hate when they do the REALLY long shows. I usually lose interest too but for some reason AI has kept my attention. I like to catch the reality shows when they're on re-run. Like what VH1 does.

Wow that is nuts girl!! Hope you have something to keep you busy while you wait

Me too. And I tend watch some of the shows on VH1 late at night when I can't sleep.
