Good morning from the not-as-rainy Golden State, all you true believers, defenders of democracy, lovers of liberty, fighting for freedom and campaigning for civil rights, kings and queens of this great country, supporters of John Kerry, Democrats.

First things first this morning, the next time some righty, Rush-loving, O'Reilly-defending Bushie asks you "who do you think the terrorists want to win the election?" you'll be able to give them a solid answer.

caitycaity... I understand that at times things might not look good. But one of the biggest strengths of the Dems and lefties in this country is also one of our biggest weaknesses. Because we're not stubborn bull-headed nincompoops, we can see both sides of most issues and admit that hey, maybe our guy isn't perfect. In the face of "maybe wrong, but always determined" Republican jingoism, this can lead us all to feel moments (sometimes, longer periods of time) of doubt and questioning.

Chin up, because we're gonna win this one in a walk.

I think Kerry is on the upswing. I've heard that he generally comes out strong during the last few weeks of his campaign. Ohio is a mess. The Kerry/Taft combination has killed our state. I cant' believe that many fellow Ohioans are voting for Bush. Most Bush supporters I've talked to here are shaking in their boots at the mere thought of ANYONE other than Bush taking over. They feel it's the only way to keep us safe. I just don't feel very safe with Bush around.

Today my Great Aunt (88) filled out her ballot. I didn't even need to bribe her for her vote. As she put it, "Bush is a big jerk!".

Don't you know it! Teachers are just awful, evil human beings.

Their unions strong arm them and force them to vote Democratic and then the teachers turn around and try to brainwash innocent children.

I haven't quite figured out why teachers who are perfectly willing to brainwash children have to be forced to vote Democratic, but I'm sure if I look long enough, I'll figure the logic of that one out.

Then again, I'm having problems figuring out just how it is a teacher's union can force you to vote a certain way when there's no way to prove how you voted, but I'm sure, given time, I'll figure that one out too.

I just have to say (and maybe it's the day I've had) but I am just sick to death of the way that conservatives demonize teachers. They love to talk about "no child left behind" but are totally oblivious to the learning process and teachers need to actually educate.

How is it possible to say you support education without supporting those professionals within the system? Giving them impersonal mandates and standardized tests? It's one of the things that has frustrated me the most about this administration- Bush stinks.
