PMFJI, but everything you cite is constituionally allowed for tax dollar usage. Welfare and entitlement programs are not. State and local govts are free to create as many entitlement programs as they want. Personally, my issue is with Federal dollars being used for entitlment programs.

Just wanted to say I am pretty tired of reading the bull**** on the boards about libs this and libs that. There are many people on these boards who have enjoyed and continue to enjoy the fruits of libs' labor.

The best part is I see people being hailed for posting the same kind of muck that they used to ridicule fklhou for. The hypocrisy of those people lauding the suddenly useful cut and paste feature astounds me.

Rather than get embroiled in the Cheney thread, I think I'll just vent here!!

I'm really sick and tired of the double standard of the right. Day in and day out there are 2 posters that we all know the names of that do nothing but throw up inflammatory threads meant only to anger and insult the left. But, when someone on the left dares to post a thread that's negative to King George and his cohort, God help them, they need therapy!!

Don't sweat it denise...I've been told that my posts are "over the top", " you need therapy", "you're on drugs", "you need to pop a prozac" and even that I deserved to be threatened in my personal life.

I think there must be a special school that right wingers have to attend before being awarded their tin foil hats to teach 'em this stuff.

Take heart, you know when you piss them off you're doing something right.

Oh, and just a fiy.....I'm the "noted leftie" whose butt is on permanent ignore.... I feel sooo special...I never realized I was "noted" for anything!! You guys should feel honored just be on the same thread as the "noted" one....

Sorry to enter your domain, I would just like to say that without the racial slurs, I would not have had a problem with the Cheney thread.

I have tried to stay away from the hateful threads (on either side) so I am not talking out of both sides of my mouth. Okay, in a moment of weakness I did post on the thread about the nut who acted like he was going to run over Katherine Harris (sorry, I was still mad about the Camel Jockey thing).

Neither side is right to make hateful statements, even if they are copied and pasted from some other place.

Again, I am sorry to have posted on your thread, I just wanted to explain myself better.

I don't think they have realized it yet. I think they just have the beginning of a suspicion. And even that is making them run around ( as my mother used to say ) like chickens with their heads cut off. The actual realization and subsequent implosion next Tuesday is going to be fun to watch.
