I saw this question on Roy's "DCA needs CPR" thread and wanted to make sure you saw my answer.
YES. Disneyland Resort has plenty to keep two WDW vets for 2 1/2 days. Don't let all the negative reports of DCA get you down. You may be one of those who spends 30 minutes in DCA then turns around and returns to Disneyland, you may be one who (like us) finds yourself returning to DCA over and over for the atmosphere if not for the rides. We expected not to like DCA. We ended up really enjoying it and are really looking forward to what it will have in the future as it grows.
We did find that we didn't spend much time at all in the Hollywood Backlot area, but there's stuff there.
There's Muppets 3D, Who Wants to be a Millionaire, and the Animation studio, and if you're there after Aladdin opens, it's already getting good reviews from some people who have seen parts or all of it (or are in it, though of *course* they'd give it good reviews) on other websites. I'm thinking Aladdin might be worth returning for by itself.
I'd go back in a heartbeat if I only had 2.5 days for a trip!
