Thanks for the link. That's NOT Joe, and that's especially not Connie!!! Ugh! Connie is 'a couple years older, a couple inches shorter, and a couple cup sizes bigger' than Stephanie. And Joe?????? Puh-leeze! He's the same age as Connie - NOT the same age as Stephanie's father, for Pete's sake!!!!

Okay, physically I can 'see' Heigl as Stephanie. But I don't think she can portray the character accurately. And why in the WORLD does Sherri Shepard need to play a dual role? There are two hookers in the book, and there are actresses portraying each. Where does the third hooker appear???????????

I totally see Katherine Heigel as Stephanie in these. I don't see Morelli (in the actor playing him), but Ranger is a good choice. And Grandma Mazur looks good too!

I still wish that MoNique was Lula though. And look at Connie (in the photos)!!

I think the actress playing Lula is too short. I always imagined her as a big woman. Debbie Reynolds is an interesting pick for Grandma M. That might work.

They have been filming here in Pittsburgh ... I read that they are here into the fall. They rented out a house (I think in our North Side) and supposedly kept a lot of the furniture and paintings in the house since it resembled her home in the book. Not a Katherine H fan but happy it's not JLo(but come on Katherine H playing an italian Jersey girl???Grandma Mazur Debbie Reynolds kind of match up- (Not the one I would have thought of for her but she matches with Katherine H I guess. And I do love Debbie Reynolds)

I can see the choices for Stephanie, Joe, Lula and Grandma Mazur. But the guy who's Ranger just doesn't do it for me. And Connie is not voluptuous enough. Vinnie is not sleezy enough.

By the way the hair doesn't look great on anyone. Ranger and Morelli hair is all wrong. I guess I have never felt such a vested interest in a book to movie before. (and by vested interest I mean reader of books vs. receiving the royalties)

I just happen to be reading Sizzling Sixteen and here are some descriptions of people in the book.

Page 2 - Lula - "Lula likes the challenge of fitting her plus-size body into a size 8 poison green spandex miniskirt and leopard-print top, and somehow it all comes together for Lula. Lula's skin is milk chocolate, her hair this week is fire-engine red and her attitude is pure jersey."

Page 2 - Stephanie -"I'm a couple of inches taller than Lula, and where her body is overly voluptuous, mine is more 34B. My idea of fashion is girl-cut stretchy T-shirt, jeans, and sneakers. My skin is nowhere near chocolate, my shoulder-length, naturally curly hair is plain ol' brown and often pulled back into a ponytail, my eyes are blue and I'm still trying to find my attitude.

Page 6 - Vinnie - "He had the slim, boneless body of a ferret. He wore his brown hair slicked back, his pants too tight, his shoes too pointy, and he left too many of his sleazy shirt buttons unbuttoned. He wore multiple rings, chains, bracelets, and, on occasion, an earring.

So, I guess I can see Katherine as Stephanie. I'd prefer Monique as Lula though. And I guess I'd never paid much attention to Vinnie's description before. I had always thought of him as having a Danny Devito type of look but after reading what I typed above, I can see the guy that they have cast as Vinnie playing that part.

Also, in the book on page 8, it describes Ranger as "drop dead handsome in a dark, Latino kind of way, and is sex walking." I don't see that in the guy that they have cast for him. Now if they had cast the guy on Criminal Minds (forgot his name), !
