I thought this would be a fun thread- since last night I told my husband he would be the perfect person to replace Eisner. I know he would be the kind of person who could return Disney to the ways of Walt. He is just "that kind of person." Of course, this has nothing to do with his schooling or experience or anything like that- just his character.

Do you have someone who would be a perfect replacement?

Im going with what some other people have mentioned in the past would be better then Mike.

a monkey.

And if i were being serious i would say that the person picked would need to have an extensive knowledge of the ins and outs of wdc and the underlying philosophy of Walt. This person would have to read the Walt quote book and would need to read the parks game thread on the theme park board all ten versions.

UMM Steve Jobs dare i say it just cause he loves to sepnd money and come up with innovative products and likes to be a frontrunner.

I'd like to see Tony Baxter replace Ei$ner. He has been THE force at WED for quite a while and understands the values implied by the Disney name. Tony could really bring back the creative spirit to the parks if he had the freedom. I have a feeling innovation would spread throughout the company with Tony at the helm.

Of course, there would have to be a "money man" to be his counter. Walt had Roy, and when Eisner had Wells, it proved to be a good partnership.

I don't suppose we could maybe ask S.Korea to possible do a little cloning on some 100 yr old DNA...... Could we ?? Maybe offer them a DS franchise and some chicken fingers ?? just a thought.

No MBAs. A real Disney geek who understands what it is about WDW and DL that is magic. Someone who really understands what Walt would do. A big kid like Steve Jobs. :smooth:

I would not exlcude the right person with the spirit and character we're looking for just because of their education.

With all due respect, I'm one of the biggest Disney nuts around. I also happen to be going for my MBA. Maybe when I'm done I can help change the stereotype.

Fozzie Bear

Of course everyone would know that Frank Oz would really be in control, but no one would say anything in front of him. Wokka wokka wokka!

I whole heartedly agree!

Herb Kelleher.

Herb has been called perhaps the best CEO in America by Fortune magazine. Under Herb's leadership, Southwest has become the most consistently profitable, productive, and cost-efficient carrier in the industry. :)

Steven Spielburg. Let someone else tinker with Dreamworks. And I'd like Jeffery K. in the package, too.

I nominate DIS Board member Another Voice.

I can't think of anyone who would do a better job representing the interests of we Disney fans worldwide.

Of course, then we'd all know AV's real identity!:teeth:

I second!!

Mister President!! I move that the nominations be closed!! And that a vote be held immediate in order to show the overwhelming mandate that AV will have!! Do I hear a second!!

If that doesn't get me installed as VP of the Magic Kingdom, nothing will!!! Hey! I'm from Chicago!! I know how to play politics!!!

AV could end up like Charlie in Charlie's Angels, just a voice on a telecom.

I agree that he's a good selection. Landbaron will be VP of MK and Scoop should be placed in charge of Disneyland.

Actually, Herb Kelleher is an interesting choice.

Please God no. Tell me you did not say that PG.

He would tear down the castle.

I have to go breathe in a bag.
