We have 11 night trip booked and could only get 7 day park pass. For anyone with a similar situation, what are you doing?

We've considered buying another 3 day pass, but that's definitely not cost effective.

We also considered going to Universal for the other 3 days.

We don't want to spend 3 days not in a park. Maybe 1 non-park day but not 3.

We’re going for 8 days in October. We’re doing a pool day for day 8. If we had another day or two we would add sea world! With kids 4 and 5 sea world is much more our speed than Universal.

I guess the question depends on how much you like your resort. We had 9.5 days and were open to the possibility of heading to Universal but ended up really loving chilling by the pool at our resort (Riviera) on the other days.

It’s worth mentioning that the 3 day pass to universal is probably about the same as a Disney 3 day. so while different scenery I’m not sure that It is more cost effective. But this would be a great time to avoid the normal crowds given your already taking the risk of going.

We have 16 days. After universal. Graduation present. I think we are going to bite the bullet for an additional ticket. Frustrating.

We're going in November 2020. We're currently have 7-day park hoppers (I know park hopping is not allowed). We want to upgrade to 8-day base tickets. What's this 7-day limit? Is Disney not selling 8-day tickets? Will they allow adding days once you are at Disney?

I tried to purchase 8-day ticket from UCT, but you must select a starting date in 2021.

We are staying for 8 days but only going to the parks 2-3 times. So I guess that doesn't help answer you question :)

But yes adding on extra days is your best choice. They are around $106 a day for single tickets. Personally thought with that much time I would branch out to Universal or a day at Discovery Cove.

I was just reading the issues we are all facing. I have been do worried about the tickets. It will be very expensive for me I nee 4 different sets for my kids. I wish they would give us some kind of break. I am staying a month next year in Jul0.
y I have been worried the annual passes will not be out.

We are there for nine days At Christmas , only bought a five day with the idea to use our off days to spend by the pool, And enjoy the resort, Visit other resorts, which at Christmas are amazingly decorated , then go out to the ft wilderness and do pony rides with the grand children, then eat at trails end restaurant, then another day rent a car to go to Clearwater beach where the kids can still find seashells and experience the waves, Spend time Shopping at Disney Springs. Eat at the Edison where they have the best burgers ever! And the trip is over. There never seems to be enough time! Love it!

You might consider renting a golf cart and loop the Fort looking at the decorations. Best of luck on Trail's End. I had a trip booked from Oct. 14th through the 19th at Fort Wilderness with no park days. We enjoy 'Ohana and Trail's End. Neither will be open by then so considering cancelling. The only thing holding me is there will be a DIS meet at the Fort while we're there so we get to see some people from here as well as looping to see Halloween decorations. Again, hope everything you want to do is available.

No, not for 2020. Max ticket available is a 7-day non-hopper. You would need to purchase a new 1-day ticket; i’d reconsider your plans and just do 7 park days.

That's weird, I changed my 7-day park hopper to an 8-day non park hopper a few months back with NO issue..... I'm going in mid/late October

Disney stopped selling tickets longer than 7 days, a few months ago. We had 4 day park hopper and wanted to change to 10 days. They suggested I wait till we arrive. Well we went August 18th and told us the most park days for 2020 was 7 days. If we wanted 10_days, we would have to upgrade to a 7 day ticket and then purchase a 3 day ticket. The price of a 3 day ticket was around $347 with tax. No thanks!

DD and I had purchased 8-day passes (pre-Covid days) to be used during a 14 day vacation. Our plan was to do 4 rope drop days, and 4 mid-day starts. We would only spend 5-6 hrs in the parks but would get to experience both early mornings and evening entertainment without marathon hour. Of course, now there are NO full days to be had, but that is another story, right?

Our non-park days are easy to fill. We have several favourite factory outlet malls in the area, and hoped to do most of our Christmas shopping. We love Disney Springs and spend as much time there as possible, people watching, enjoying the entertainment, sipping, tasting...

We always make the rounds of the resorts, soaking up the unique atmosphere of each and checking out the holiday decorations. We love to try new table service spotS and visit old favourites. All in all, 14 days has become not enough to get in what we want to do!

This doesn’t even take into account the water parks, where we would absolutely spend as many hours as possible if my DGSs were with us. I would love to visit Universal to see their Christmas decorations and shows, but it is hard to find the time.

that would be a typical trip for us, but the ”new normal” brings much simpler planning. Cancel plane tickets, accommodation, park reservations. Sit and wait until we have a better idea of what things will be like in 2021. Try not to sob openly.

We were lucky that we booked 10 days in October last year and they let us keep our 10 day passes...just had to drop the park hopper off.

I almost bought tickets for our May trip that didn’t happen, and held off. I so wish I had! It’s a shame there’s no way for those with tickets people won’t use and would like to sell to be able to sell to those of us going soon who were planning on 10 day passes. Although maybe that number is nobody!
