1st, let me tell everybody who has been posting about Ebay a huge THANK YOU! With y'all's encouragement, I started posting auctions about a month ago and with just a few auctions have MADE over $100!!! I couldn't have done it without y'all!

OK, here's my question (sorry if this was answered on the other ebay thread, but my 20 month old is not going to allow me the time to go through all 50+ pages!). I was browsing through the toddler clothing listing and noticed that some people have really cool layouts. Their designer pages don't seem to be the ones offered to me when I list my auctions through ebay, their pictures seem to be huge, their pictures aren't in the same arrangement as the normal ebay, and they seem to get a ton of pics (I saw some as many as 10 - 15). How do they do this? Also, do they pay extra for each picture? Do they have to pay extra since each picture is so large (no thumbnail prints?).

Finally, what do y'all find is the best way to take pics? Theirs just seem so nice. Thanks again for any and all help!

I use Vendio.com. I pay .10 a month for my first 50 listings, .05 a month for any over that, and 1% of my sales. Worth every bit of it. I can put as many pics in as I wish (I had over 30 for an item that brought in over $200..and I know it was the pics, because other people's of the same was bringing in about $50. I prefer thumbnails (although they are pretty big ones in Vendio), although you can shooce to not use thumbnails. It cuts down on loading times for those on dial up.

You can choose from several plans, and try it before you buy it.

I try to take as many of my pics as I can outside, or if inside without florescent liights.

If you put Vendio in the search field and tell eBay to search descriptions, you'll see almost 500,000 of vendio pages to check out.

Well i am no expert! But i will say that when i started listing clothes I was like you. Trying to figure out how these other people had those nice looking listings with all those pics!

I used inkfrog.com for awhile. It had a fee of about $7-8 a month. Can't remember for sure. But now i use photobucket.com and really like it cause it is free! And I can use as many pics as i want. I will say though that maybe it is just me but it was hard to figure out. Like i said though maybe just me! I just gave up and made my DH figure it out for me.

If i am listing something that i need just one or two pics i just use the old ebay way and don't mess with these other sites. I find that easier. But i do use them for my lots of clothing. I have sold 3 different lots of my DD's (13yrs) clothes and made $150, $160, $117!!
good luck!

If your internet provider allows personal webspace you can upload your photos to them and use html to add as many photos as you want.

You can also use webshots for up to 10 free photos (per email address) at any give time. This is what I use, since I have yet to find if my provider allows personal webspace.

Thanks so much for the help. I do have another question and I searched ebay but couldn't find the answer. If you use a seperate web hosting program (giving you both designer pages and unlimited pics), what does ebay charge you? Does ebay still charge you per picture? Does ebay still charge you the extra designer listing fee, even if you don't use one of their designs? Thanks again for the info.

I use sparedollar. They allow one month free trial so if you don't like it you can drop it. You create all of the auctions in SD and then upload to eBay. They have counters so you can 'watch' all your auctions hits at any time. They have community boards with custom templates that are often shared and a good tutorial on creating your own. You can insert up to (?) 12 photos and ebay treats their entire template as one photo so you are not paying for any extra photos! $4.95 per month after the trial period if you want to keep using it. Only thing I don't do is schedule the auctions to launch automatically. I always go in and launch myself because Sunday nights can be hard on their server. I have one auction up this week that you can peek at for Kellog Kash this week (under same user name as here) that is using a SD custom template another member created. You can look under some of my completed auctions for other custom template samples (PM me if you need more info). When starting it is easiest to use their pre-defined templates and they have a nice variety.
