Here is a pic of my dd's 6th birthday cake that we had a few weeks ago at 1900 Park Fare. It was delicious! It was white chocolate with white chocolate mousse filling, and the Cinderella on top is actually made of white chocolate with Cindy painted on. The cost was about $45. Hope this helps !

Can you tell me about her birthday dinner at 1900 PF? What special things did they do? I can't decide between PF dinner and Akershus breakfast for my daughter's 4th birthday . . .

Your daughter looks THRILLED with the cake - so cute!

Oh My, Looks yummy! I want one :teeth: . What size is that cake and did the bakery deliver it to 1900 or did 1900 make it?

You can't really see it too well under the cake, lol, but she got a placemat that is sort of laminated with a scene on it (think Victorian like the GF) with all the characters signatures on it. She also got a "Happy Birthday" crown, and everyone sang to her.

Sweetpeakaris: The cake was a 10". I'm a cake decorator myself (being doing it professionally for about 15 yrs. now) and I was so impressed with both the look and taste of the cake, it was amazing! I ordered it from the GF bakery, so they delivered it to the restaraunt for me. We had 8 people in our party, and there was way too much cake there! There were 2 couples at the table next to us, who were looking at the cake when they brought it out and pointing...so, we shared with them! They seemed really excited, and I also noticed when we left and walked past their table, there wasn't a crumb left!

Oh, and GeorgiaAristocat: We'll be there at the same time, Sept. 29 to Oct. 7! Maybe we'll run into each other!

Excellent! Where will you be staying? Are you planning on MNSSHP? I'm on the fence on that one, but that's a different thread! The closest I came to meeting a DISer at WDW on my last trip was someone checking in to Le Cell at the same time as me w/ a DIS shirt on. I was, of course, too chicken to say anything, plus my hubby was standing right there. He is somewhat unaware of my obsession, so I didn't want to do anything that would rat myself out! He is, though, a grateful recipient of my Disney knowledge and was very grateful for my dining choices! (BTW, that was Sept. 30 at Le Cell at @ 6:30 if the mystery person is out there!)

that looks so similar to the one we got for my DD's birthday party! :) It was yummy wasn't it!! I wish I had a piece now!!

My dd will be having her 13th birthday lunch at GF Cafe in Oct. I chose that particular spot based on the photos of the cakes people had bought at GF. Yours is quite beautiful. Thank heavens I have 9 months to decide what kind of cake I want for dd's lunch. Thanks for the photo. I love seeing them.

I highly recommend 1900 for special occasions. Not only is the food wonderful, and the price is very fair for what they offer. But they also go out of thier way to make your celebration special. And the GF indeed make some fabulous cakes! I too am a cake decorator of over 10 years experience, and I have been impressed with both of our specialty cakes we have ordered. You just can't go wrong withh 1900 PF or the GF bakery!!

Blessings,
Winnie

We're thinking about CS, but we're still unsure. Our last 3 trips have been at the WL (which is our favorite resort), but we wanted to stay longer and still have some spending money, lol. I've read good things about CS and also POFQ, so I'm still undecided. As far as MNSSHP, I think we probably will. We have my SiL and BiL coming with us and they're bringing their 10 yr. old grandson, who's never been. What a treat for a first trip, Trick or Treating with Mickey!

I think the # for the GF bakery is 1-407-824-2474, someone please correct me if I'm wrong!

I am interested in surprising my Dh with an anniversary cake this trip. Granted our Anniversary is in April, but we won't be going until December. Do you think this will be a problem? How far in advance to you have to call to set this all up? I had in mind to eat at Cinderella's Gala Feast at Park Fare, so this would fit right in!

I think I ordered my cake about a month before, but you can order up to 48 hrs. in advance. We had dinner at Cinderella's Gala Feast, and it was wonderful! The service and the food were both great, and my dd had a wonderful birthday dinner there before we went to MVMCP.

What a cute cake!! Your DD looks so happy! I hope it was a magical time for her!! :sunny:

What time did you make your dinner reservations for? Just wondering if you had enough time to get to the start of MVMCP

My ADR was for 4:30, which is when they open for dinner. We got there a few minutes early, and the doors weren't even opened yet. We signed in as soon as they opened the doors, Kirstin met with the Fairy Godmother and we were seated right away. We got to the Christmas party early (they will start letting you in at 4pm if you have a party ticket, I think we got there around 6 or so).

May I pick your brain a little more? lol
I called GF bakery today to find out more about the cakes, and I am royally confused now! lol The CM I spoke to was very friendly, and told me they have all different size cakes. I don't think we will need a cake as big as the one you got (what size was yours?), for there are only 4 of us. I was thinking a small 8inch cake would be fine. She stated chocolate or vanilla.. didn't talk about any fillings. I don't want to make the cake too expensive ($45 seems like alot to me!). Do you remember all the choices they gave you?

Wow! 1st...I cannot believe that I am the 3rd cake decorator to post on this thread!!! Hi ladies!!! (I have been doing it professionally for 9 years now!) and 2nd...I ordered the all chocolate cake for my MIL's birthday in Dec 04...It was way too much for us also and we were about to lug it around through MVMCP in the bottem of the stroller when the manager of 1900 offered to drop is off at SSR for us on her way home that night...when we got back to the hotel, there was a message for us to call the front desk and they delivered it to us in the middle of the night...that's what I call service!!
Also, Cinderella was on hand to help us sing happy birthday to my MIL...what a great meal and a great surprise it turned out to be...
btw...that white choc cake looks awesome!!!
