We are going for 8 days the end of June and have rented an ECV for my mom for 5 of those days. For the days we have not rented, if we take the bus from AKL to one of the parks, will there be wheelchairs we can wheel her in up to the rental kiosk for ECV's?

We can also drive if necessary and park in the handicapped area. Which do you think is best? She has a leg that is twisted from arthritis and is difficult for her to walk. Thanks for any input..

There should be courtesy wheelchairs near parking; or someone from your party may have to go to Guest Services outside the park and ask for one; or you may be able to borrow one from your resort, and leave it wheelchair rental.

I don't know about the best, but the worst park to drive to would be Magic Kingdom, especially if you have the option of Disney transportation, i.e. are staying onsite. From handicap parking, you need to walk under a roadway and up to the TTC, then to the monorail or ferry, to get to the park.

If you have rented an ECV for five days why not get one for the entire eight days. The off-site vendors normally cap a full week at a lower price than seven days, and then drop the daily rate after the first week.

And having an off-site ECV allow availability in the Resort itself, especially if there are long corridors.
