We just got back from a week in OC, NJ and did some of the waterparks there.
The comparison is like comparing a video arcade to a theme park. The scale itself is different.
The waterparks in NJ are fun for maybe 2 hours; you ride the few rides, wear out and then you're done. In disney, you can go a few more "laps" thanks to:
- MUCH larger space (acres), so more to see and do.
- relaxation features like the creek and shallow pools. These help you get ready for another run at the E ticket rides.
- facilities to allow you to simply sit and do nothing. beach, food, chairs, etc.
Myself, I still can't do more than maybe 4 to 5 hours at a disney park, but that compares to about an hour in Wildwood places. So I'm not saying you'll want to set aside 4 days for the Disney waterpark...but you might consider a day (followed by a lazy evening!)
I assume you are talking about something like splashzone. That seems to be the biggest one, coming closest to disney. But Disney is still on a different scale. The others (Morey's piers) aren't even in the ballpark.
