Just wondering how the water parks compare to the ones at Wildwood. We went to Wildwood water parks and left after 2 hours because we were bored. I don't want to pay to add on the water park option if it's only going to be a couple of hours of fun.

We added the water parks for our last trip and loved it. We only went to Blizzard Beach, but it was worth it. We spent the entire day there. We will always add the water parks from now on. I went to Wildwood about 8 years ago, went to the water parks, but it really wasn't memorable.

I'd rank the ones in Wildwood a 1 out of 10 with 10 being the highest. Both Disney water parks would rank 10 out of 10. They do not compare at all. Disney's are both ranked in the top five in the country.

We just got back from a week in OC, NJ and did some of the waterparks there.

The comparison is like comparing a video arcade to a theme park. The scale itself is different.

The waterparks in NJ are fun for maybe 2 hours; you ride the few rides, wear out and then you're done. In disney, you can go a few more "laps" thanks to:
- MUCH larger space (acres), so more to see and do.
- relaxation features like the creek and shallow pools. These help you get ready for another run at the E ticket rides.
- facilities to allow you to simply sit and do nothing. beach, food, chairs, etc.

Myself, I still can't do more than maybe 4 to 5 hours at a disney park, but that compares to about an hour in Wildwood places. So I'm not saying you'll want to set aside 4 days for the Disney waterpark...but you might consider a day (followed by a lazy evening!)

I assume you are talking about something like splashzone. That seems to be the biggest one, coming closest to disney. But Disney is still on a different scale. The others (Morey's piers) aren't even in the ballpark.

Dang - a complete analysis within 30 minutes with triple confirmation. Gotta love this place :thumbsup2

We love the "shore", don't get me wrong, but the 2 water parks at the Wildwood boardwalk in no way compare to Typhoon Lagoon & Blizzard Beach. It's like comparing the boardwalk rides to Magic Kingdom rides. Typhoon Lagoon & Blizzard Beach are true Disney - all the way. Theming, theming, theming....

Wildwood's water parks lack excitement. Disney's water parks are GREAT! I agree with the 10 out of 10 (Disney) against the 1 out of 1 (Wildwood). You will LOVE TL & BB! The wave pool alone is far more exciting than the Atlantic.

Great analysis! They just do not compare and think at least 15 times the size for the same amount of $- about $35 for one day admission. Wildwood is a seasonal location so they try to get as much money in their 4-5 month season. TL's wave pool is always a highlight for our family. We spend hours in there!

My DS15 loves both TL & BB & goes fairly often. Since we moved down here 2 yrs. ago I have been promising him that he could go to Wet n' Wild, which has the reputation down here of being a terrific waterpark. Well, he finally got to go last month & he got bored after a few hours. He said they were "good", but that he doesn't really care if he goes again.

I've been to Wildwood, but he never has. I like Disney's much better, also.

Also, prior to going to TL & BB the first time, we read up a lot about them & we all agreed that BB appealed to us the most. However, since visiting both several times, we all prefer TL. :confused3 :teeth: If you get the chance, I'd visit both of them. They are totally different.

I go to Wildwood every year. The H2O parks there don't even compare. That being said, I have also been to BB and TL. Although they far outshadow Wildwood, I still could'nt manage a full day there. If you only plan to spend 1 day of your vacay in a H2O park it makes more sense to just pay out of pocket than to add H2O parks option to MYW ticket. By the way...I reccomend BB! :thumbsup2
