Going to Hershey Park next weekend and will be spending the night on Saturday. We already have reservation. But then I was looking at roomsavers.com and the coupons and was wondering how they work. Do you just call and tell them you have the coupon and make a ressie, or do you have to just take your chances and show up at the hotel and request a room then? The writing on the coupon is a little confusing.

Actually it depends on the coupon. Some allow (and some insist) on ressie's in advance..other's are just left over rooms..if they have them when you get there, you can get them. We use them when ever we travel, but only if I can make ressie in advance. Be sure to read the small print. Some are only good on weekdays, some on weekends..some show a cheap price..but when you look close, it's only on a certain day. Have a great time..I didn't realize they were open already!

You can do great with these and remember-it never hurts to ASK! We ended up in Wlafayette Indiana the night of a home Purdue football game (oops!). Went to Hampton-they said everyone in town was booked solid and we would never find a room. We had a roomsaver coupon for Red Roof across the street and checked. She had one room left (it was late-11:30 or so) and said sure we could use the coupon but she only had smoking. Big deal-we paid $35 for the room and didn't have to keep driving. It was clean and I can live with a mild (not bad at all) smoky smell for one night vs driving down the Interstate half asleep! They never should have let us use it with 1) special event & 2) obviously over 85% of rooms were booked since we got the last one!

Just below Memphis we called a HI Express and couldn't get a room rate even with AAA below about $65 per nite. Since we were getting into town after 10, we figured we would just go somewhere cheaper - we ate at the restaurant that is like Waffle House about an hour below Memphis and low and behold we found a flier like roomsaver with the HI in it for around $49. I called and they said -no problem come on in. Since we were Priority Club, he even put us on the "quiet floor" and gave us an oversized room with fridge & microwave in it. (We didn't really need that night but still was very considerate).

Before my sojurn to Florida I am going to try to 'compose' one of their online books with some coupons & print out. We'll be flying blind with no ressies Friday or Sat nite from Wisc to Florida. (Sun-Universals new Royal & then 10 nites at Swan!)

Thanks guys for the info! I'm gonna print the coupons and see what I can do.

DMRick, my DH works for Verizon and it is "Verizon day" at Hershey. I'm not sure when the park officially opens though.

True, read carefully. We've had good luck with them, but good idea to print
it out! When you call for ressie mention the site and coupon. Some hotels
do not seem to be aware of the coupons on the net. When we made ressies
for our Calif. trip, we printed them out and they accpeted them at ck in. Good
luck, there are some great bargins on roomsaver :D
