I ordered two polo shirts for my son for our upcoming cruise. He typically wears the boys size L shirt. The shirt came the other day and was really short. I then ordered him the men's small shirt. That just came and it is too big. The tag says they are 100% cotton. Has anyone purchased these, I would like to know if they have the tendancey to shrink? I hope if it will shrink, it might fit better. Thanks!

I'm posting on an old thread because I just received a kids size Large and an adult men's size Small hoping that one would fit my 10 year old son now and one would be for him to grow into and we'd all have matching shirts for a few years. These sizes are crazy! The kids Large will be perfect for my 7 year old. My 10 year old could squeeze into the kids Large before washing it, and it just barely fit around, but was so short that it looked extremely stupid! Now, the Men's Small was about the right size for me and I usually wear a Ladies 10/12, so I estimate that it would fit him when he's about 14.

So, basically Disney doesn't seem to have a boy's/men's size polo that will fit anything between an 8-14 year old boy! That's ridiculous! I don't think girls would have this problem, because I assume that an 8-14 year old girl where the girls Large shirt was too small could just go up to a Women's small. The Women's shirt won't work for the boys because it's a semi-fitted style and is sort of curved in at the waist.

Once again, Disney is leaving our out boys! Like with character meals in the parks. :confused3

princessh - I'm guessing your DS is about the same age/size as mine. Did you come up with anything to fit him?

Princessh - I have a question...how much did you have to pay to exchange the shirts? I ordered two for my son and they are too small and I need to send them back for an exchange. Also, does Disneyshopping charge when they re-ship the new sizes out? Thank you....

Well, I ended up having him wear the youth L and just tucking the shirt in. With the shirt being tucked in, it was not as obvious that it was really short.

As far as the exchange, I did have to pay to ship the shirt back to Disney Shopping, but I don't remember having to pay for them to ship me out the other size. That was a while ago, so hopefully I am remembering correctly.

I ordered 8 shirts for my sons, nephews and niece so they could all match when we went on our disney cruise. I ordered 3 large boy shirts, and all 3 were different lengths! I ended up having to exchange 2 for small men shirts. They are way too long, but my Mother in law will alter them.

Ugh....DisneyShopping.com sizes are insane! I ordered a Tinkerbell fleece pullover and a pair of Mickey PJ's....both in size XL. The pullover was small enough to fit my DD-16 who is a size 6, and the PJ's were big enough to fit 2 of me (well ok...maybe 1 1/2 of me). It was crazy! I've seen so many cute clothing items on the site lately, but I'm hesitant because of all the size disparities!

I ordered those shirts too for my grandsons twins age 4 and a 7 year old. The twins are 1 small and ! big for age 4, I looked at their chart and got the XS ,S and M and they were all too small for the boys so I moved them up and just ordered another in L hoping that it will fit the small 7 year old. This is really annoying with there sizing....the womans bathing suits I ordered this summer were huge for the size listed there seems to be no rhyme or reason to their sizing. Their quality and shipping has gone to the dogs lately. I wonder how much longer they will stay in business....and no catalogues!!!!
And to the person who asked about shrinking they seem like they will shrink some to me but have not washed yet. :goodvibes

I just ordered a women's Medium for my 10 year old son. :teeth: It was just killing me not to have one for him to wear (we always wear matching clothes on our trip). It is tapered like a women's shirt, but I don't think it's too much. It also buttons the "wrong" way, but I don't think that's something he'd notice. I've now washed the shirts, and the boys Large will be fine for my 7 year old DS. Of course, in the current Disney Logo shirts, my 10 year old wears a boys Medium and my 7 year old is in a boys Small. The size discrepencies are horrible!
