For anyone thinking about not going...

I just wanted to share the fact that my Uncle, Aunt, and cousins are leaving tomorrow for a trip to WDW......not so outlandish until you realize that their oldest son is a marine in Kuwait as I write this. He is part of a recon group that has probably been in Iraq for awhile now.

They have been planning this trip for so long....and he wanted them to go no matter where he was. So that's what they're doing. I know it won't be a light-hearted trip....but they will go as a family and enjoy the fact that their oldest daughter has flown in from college in Utah to be with them there. My heart goes out to them, but I am proud of them for going ahead. They are great examples of strength to me.

Prayers to all families with loved ones in the military....

Thanks....I'll pass your good wishes along! What I suggested to one of my cousins is that they take a picture of him in his uniform along and take it on all the rides, take pictures of "him" with the characters, even get autographs....then they can send them to him when everything settles down. Or better yet, when he comes home!

I think you should try and call the resort and see if they can arrange some kind of Disney magic for them! Hope they have a super trip.

That is great! They'll probably do that for your family too. One of mom's coworkers from Dollywood took a little stuff bee (Mr. Bumbles) to WDW and had his pic taken all over WDW and with all characters. The guy told them they were from Dollywood. They were all great sports about it.
I wish them a safe and good trip.
