I have read so many reviews on this site about how hard it is to get certain Character Meal ADR's, and I was thinking what is the problem? Well I will answer that question in a minute. I had my first trip to WDW Sept 4-10th and I was able to get all the ressies that I wanted but hey I stayed on the phone all the time and was happy with all my ressies.,but many are not as lucky as I was, and I would love to see everyone happy! Well back to the question why is it so hard to get these popular character meals? The answer is simple as the A B C’s, there are not enough character meals, plain and simple!! and you thought I may have had a more complicated answer, well in reading these threads the most popular request that I have found or concern with many people was where, when, and which Princess is going to be there on this day and who is going to be the greeter and autograph opportunities and etc. you guys no what I mean. So I have some Magical suggestions for WDW that would not cost a whole lot and really would satisfy so many people but most of all, our children will be ecstatic, So this has got to be one of my greatest thoughts which I have so many but I wanted to share them with you my Dis family, and maybe we can take these thoughts and suggestions to the WDW Officials. Oh and if you didn’t know I think real BIG so here goes!! Oh yeah and I have the rights to these ideas so no funny business. I would love to hear your feedback many people are feeling with the dinner plan ADR's are impossible!

Utilize What WDW Already Has in the Regard to the Restaurants and
the times.

First Suggestion- Coral Reef = Ariel’s Underwater Breakfast Treasure
My reasoning Coral Reef is not open
for breakfast and
Epcot is the place where many of my ideas will come
into play,The meal would be pre-plated just like CRT.
Ariel, flounder all the Guys will host this breakfast.
And I do have menu ideas for all these suggestions
but we will get into that later!

Second Suggestion- Marrakesh-Jasmines Jewel Jubilee Breakfast or Jasmines
MoRockin Breakfast
, again Pre Plated and maybe a
buffet of assorted Moroccan breads, pastries, fruit and
along with American flair Similar to the Breakfast in
Norway! Host Jasmine, and Aladdin

Third Suggestion-Wilderness Lodge- Snow White and the 7 Dwarfs Forest
Festival Meal
Now this one will take some work but this is
the Location-Maybe At the Pavilion where Mickey’s
Backyard Barbeque or just a new Restaurant, now this
would be a little show with Snow White, witch,7 Dwarfs
and the Prince this would be done for Lunch! Kind of like
the skit at dinner at CRT with the Fairy Godmother but a bit
better. I Just feel Snow White needs a little more Publicity!!

Fourth Suggestion 1900 Park Fare- Sleeping Beauty Awakening Celebration This would be for lunch only the host Princess Aurora,
Prince Phillip, fairies, and Maleficent

Fifth Suggestion Nine Dragons-Mulan Warriors Breakfast
Well not sure how the new place looks but this would be
great, the host Mulan and her friends

Well I know there are some that will disagree with you - I think one is that Disney does try not to double the Princesses, so if Ariel is at Coral Reef, she couldnt be at Princess Storybook... (and I'd put Snow White over in Germany for breakfast!! ;) ) I think WL is too crowded for a character meal... it does work at Ohana's sorta, the whole wait until an entire section is cleared before seating everyone for the breakfast really backs things up... makes it nice in not being skipped by a character tho...

And what about the Hero Breakfast? That was HUGELY popular - lets see the Incredibles, Hercules, etc at a breakfast buffet...

and while we're at it, why the heck are the cancelling the Characters at LTT!! Bring them back I say!!

Well I wanted to put Snow White in her home, Germany,of course, but I dont think Birgertein would be an ideal setting it is so dark, but that stage would be idea for the skit, well we may be able to bring in some better lighting,:lmao: and I feel you on the heroes and I thought about them and Pocohantas and Tarzan but I cant do it all! I am just a Queen trying to save the Princesses:) Please let me remind everyone that my OP is just a way to help those that are not getting ADR"S at CRT ,1900 Park Fare, and PSB and far as the doubling up on the princesses I cant see that as a problem I mean Mickey is everywhere but you never see him with another Mickey:rotfl: so if Ariel is at the Coral Reef For Breakfast and at PSB for Breakfast I cant SEE the problem only those that are at these places will see them and no one can be at 2 places at one time or can they:rotfl: And I hope that the responses are pleasant and if they are not and you think my ideas are horrible ask yourself this one question If WDW had the Arial Treasure Breakfast, and Jasmine MoRockin Breakfast and the Sleeping Beauty Lunch already there or announced that these new places were opening up for 2009 would you GO???
WDW is about dreams that come true and that is all I am doing, but like dreams some do come true!:)

I feel your pain,lol..while they are getting rid of Characters they need to be bringing more Character Meals, come on how expensive are those costumes and make up hey we are willing to pay to see these characters!!

NO, NO,NO
Please leave somewhere for the rest of us to eat!!! IMO, there are too many princess meals already... If they did want to add some other character meals, how about they consider the boys.....
And honestly, not all kids want to go to character meals- they are the last thing on earth my autistic son would want to do.....

I understand what you mean and value your opinion, but since you dont have a desire to eat at these Princess meals you may not know that it is very very hard to get into these places and there is a need for some more maybe not as many as I have suggested, for they are only ideas, and I do agree that all kids do not want to eat at Character meals but I am sure the majority do,and the majority of them enjoy the character meals, as well as the adults, and I am a mother of a 2yr old boy and you are right they do need to have something with a little more masculinity, but my son loves the ladies now so no problem but they all go through the stage of disliking girls and yes a Star Wars, Power Ranger, Kim Possible,Toy Story, and well the list goes on is needed but again I am just focusing on the Princess meals and you also said leave somewhere for us to eat well having more of these character meals would free up some of these other restaurants, because when we cant get in where we want we get the next best thing!

I really like your idea of a breakfast in Coral Reef because:

1) More character meals is a good thing
2) it's not open for breakfast at the moment, so it isn't interfering with current options
3) It's a unique setting

Although I have a DD, I think it's about time WDW added something for the boys out there, too. pirate:

I love your suggestions and I'd make ADRs for all of them if I could (and this is coming from someone with 12 ADRs for upcoming trip - only 3 of them are noncharacter) But would be nice to stick some characters at restaurants that say don't serve breakfast, now to open them up to do a character breakfast, something like that.
I'd love to see a Toy Story character meal.
But.... honestly if they had any more character meals offered, I'd have to extend my trip for longer to get to all of them! having a tough time fitting everything in now as it is.
I love how you came up with all the cool names for the various meals!

I think your suggestions are great! Really creative!
As much as I love the Princesses, I would love to see more variety in character dinning. I still think these meals are a lot of fun (I'm 22!) but you can end up seeing the same characters multiple times (ie: Mickey, Pooh, Alice). A Heros or Toy Story Dinner would be great!

My thoughts about Epcot, I sorta like the way they don't shove Disney characters in your face at every turn. It gives it a really different feel, from say MK where there are characters everywhere. I'll repeat, I LOVE the characters, but one meal a day is enough for me.
I love WS because you can really be transported to another place, even when your already in Disney's fairytale world, just by dinning in a pavilion. I like the way they brought in native characters in small, tasteful ways (Belle's room in France is my fav spot in WS) Most of the resturants that don't offer character meals are so well themed and their own attraction I think characters would take away from that experience.
Character meals are one type of experience at Disney World, and then their are many of experiences to try, like ethnic, something out of the 50's, or dinning with a fish tank!

Yeah it's a pain to get into some of these meals, and I know how amazing they can be when your with a little one who's in awe, but sometimes less is more, and variety is the spice of life!

Sorry for my long winded opinion! But on a final note, I really wish they wouldn't kill the characters at LLT! I love that place!

You are so creative. Those are all really wonderful ideas. I especially love your idea about the Ariel meal and the Snow White one (adorable) and they used to have a Jamine and Aladdin meal in Disneyland, CA. I went when I was young and it was so magical. There was a show and I remember the food was so delicious...there were these flat breads with mint yogurt dipping sauce and I remember there were chocolate genie lamps filled with rasberry mousse and mint leaves on top. I can't believe I remember that but it must have had an impact on me! They also have an Ariel themed meal at California Adventure and it is fantastic. I agree they should have more character meals. Maybe you should send these ideas to Disney...just a thought.

Thanks, glad you like the Coral Reef idea, and I am a mother of a 2yr old little prince, and I know that eventually there will be a time that he will no longer want to mix with the princesses and royal family as much:) but he will want to dine with Woody,Jesse, and the Power Rangers. I dont think it would be so hard for WDW to have these Character Meals,I feel that Hollywood Studios would be a great place to kick off some of these high kicking,Character meals with everybody in mind but especially little boys.

Thank You, I am glad that you like my ideas, I think that we would all have a wonderful tim!e and spending a few more days at WDW never hurt anybody:)

Amen to that!!!!! :worship: Toy Story meal would be AWESOME!!! Why does WDW not hear us? Mommies will do anything for their little boys and fork out cash for them to do these meals!!!

Also, I have a DD2 who likes princesses very much, but give her a Buzz Lightyear Toy and she just lights up! Not to mention maybe mommies like Buzz. ;)

I agree with the ambiance of the WS and I understand that Epcot is in no way MK, I think that is what makes Epcot special and unique. I think that my meals at breakfast would be no different then the PSB, If you never go inside to eat at PSB you would never know that there are so many Princesses inside it is not like they have princesses outside or posters or banners advertising the characters, I don’t think that my ideas would affect the integrity of the WS it is not like they would be out in the courtyards putting on shows and singing n the rain performances:rotfl2: just a nice character breakfast, the only down fall would be that there would be more people in the parks in the morning, I do agree with you variety is the spice of life! love that cliché and yes it is a shame that the characters are leaving LTT, I ask that everyone take in consideration that if there are more character meals it does not necessarily mean that you have to attend them and more character meals would not affect those that do not favor them, and for those that may only like to do a character meal here and there then you would just have more to chose from. Thanks for your opinion and it was in no way to long, look at mine:rotfl:

:cloud9: I adore all of your princess dining ideas, they are fabby:worship: ...fingers crossed there are a few Disney employees sitting with pen and paper taking notes.

Another idea I've seen posted on the boards that would be so cool is a pirate character meal with POTC and Peter Pan characters making an appearance appealing to both pirate: & princess: . Please Disney moles take these ideas and run with them.

LOVE LOVE LOVE those ideas.....I spend more time trying to get the character meals than anything else...

The pirate meal would also be awesome! ooo what about on P&P party nights? that would be cool too

I think a character meal in Adventureland would be cool. You could have Mickey and the Gang in their safari outfits, Jane and Turk, Jasmine (for the dads) and Captain Jack (for the moms). They do the face/fuzzy mix at 1900 Park Fair breakfast, so it's not unheard of.
You even could have the restaurant go all the way through to Frontierland so for breakfast have the Adventureland theme open and for lunch have the Frontierland theme open with Woody, Jesse, Bullseye and Brer Rabbit.
