For all Lg Chocolate Touch owners

Has anyone else had the Lg Chocolate Touch and put thier contact names and numbers into the phone and then a few days or weeks later they won't be there? My seems to have been doing this since I got it in early January. I am worried if I even approach Verizon with this, they'll try to mandate that crappy data plan on me. But I do not like having all my contacts in the right place, well just not being there to be exact.

Sounds like a software update issue. In the tools is there an update menu? or call customer service and ask them how you can update without going to the store. If you go to the repair area not the sales desk, would they insist on the plan.

I never had a data plan issue. BUT I avoided the LG touch as they wanted a plan to use that one. I have the envy 3.
There are often updates we are never notified about when issues come up like this and they update the software in it. Did not cost me anything.

I got the touch before the data plan became mandatory. So I do just worry if I was to take it into the store they might try to pull some crap, but I may just have to do that. We'll see.

I would google it and see if anyone has had that problem and see if they have an answer out there already b4 going in if you dont want to have the data plan. I just have the regular Chocolate, so I am no help.

I have a Chocolate Touch without a data plan. When we first got my phone, my dh set up the Backup Assistant to update daily. That way, if I enter a new contact, it will back it up. This was a no charge application on the phone. Mine updates everyday about 1pm. May be worth looking into for your phone. I love my phone and would be very frustrated if I kept loosing my contacts.
