I'm looking to book a cruise with DCL with my DS (5) and wondering if we should do the Land/Sea or Cruise only? We are going to Disney World for a week over Halloween this year and looking to book something for 2006. Anyone have a preference?

Normally I vote for WDW & then DCL, but since you would have been to WDW recently, I vote for just the cruise - at least the 4-day.

I agree. Since you have been to WDW I would suggest just the cruise. At minimum a 4 day, but I always reccommend a 7 day! A 4 day is just a teaser! LOL

Dh and I have decided that we will only go to the parks everyother year. That way the parks have time to build new rides and attractions. With that said if your halloween trip and you 06 trip are far enough apart the do both. I am a sucker for the parks and would do them everyday but I know that DH might not like that very much. But your DS will be older and might be able to go on more rides by then.

I would go for the cruise only. Unless you live really far from FL and must fly. Whenever we do Orlando we usually spend a week just there. You can't just do Disneyworld. Sea World is a must and so is Universal Studios. We like to do ALL the parks.

We took the 4 day Wonder 2 weeks ago but then we stayed in Cocoa beach and enjoyed the beach and plus we spent 2 days at Kennedy Space Center. You need 2 days to do Kennedy right. I wanted to go and spend most of the day in St. Augustine but we did not realise how much there is at Kennedy. I guess if I had the time I could easily spend a month in FL alone to go all the places I want to go. I am glad we live close enough to drive.

I vote for land/sea. Like ericamanda said, in 2006, enough time will have past between visits to make WDW a must do again. Your son will be 7 years old and will want to go on "bigger kid" rides and such. :)
