Kind of random question!!

For those of you who drive straight through for roughly like, 15-18 hours, when do you leave and what time do you arrive in Disney?!

I'm coming from Illinois and it will take me roughly 17 - 18 hours. I just don't know whens a good time to arrive in Disney

My original plan was to leave around 6pm and then arrive in Disney around 1pm the next day

My original plan was to leave around 6pm and then arrive in Disney around 1pm the next day

I leave at all different times pending what is going on here at home or down in wdw. I try to time things so I don't hit rush hours in the few major cities we hit. I normally will leave around 3am and it gets me at okw around 7pm. I drive all the way down.
just like everything, everyone is different. some people cant do it, I am a rep. for a hvac company and I drive 40-50k miles per year so for me its no big deal. others stop over night and others just need a quick nap at a rest stop.
if you are driving 18 hours, I am guessing it wont matter what time you get there as far as doing anything but sleeping. I would set my depart time to miss rush hours in major cities.
sorry cant help you with that, you are coming from a different direction then I but keep checking back here, someone will be able to help you out.

WAIT!!!! im there from the 19th till the 29th. could this mean we are going to be there at the same time again????????? (we live 50 miles apart and meet each other in wdw all the time lol)

yes sir, I don't feel sorry for B. when I phones came out, she had to have one. my phone was up for a renewal and she had another 8 months to go. she wanted to switch phones. so I don't feel sorry for her.

I have adrs made for the trip.i made them for three. we are guessing briana will be working most of the time. we figured if she cant make it, we will just go as two like we did in june. Septembers trip she has off just about the entire time so I don't have to run her to work and pick her up and she will be eating with us the entire time.

the 20th we have an adr at crystal palace for breakfast and kona café for diner. the mk is only open till 7, maybe B wont have to work.
the 21st we were going to mgm in the am and epcot in the pm with an adr in Canada for diner.

we will hang out together one way or another. nothing really in stone for us other then the adrs.

briana will be glad to hear you guys are coming down. she went to work today at 1pm and works till 1am. the park don't close till 3am tonight.
that will pay the rent for the week.
she has off Monday and Tuesday to rest. she was moaning she has to do laundry and go food shopping tomorrow.hah, welcome to the real world!!!

We are in the same boat On our last trip in May 2011, we left around 6pm from the Northwest suburbs of Chicago and drove straight through. We ended up pulling into POR around 1pm, I think. The trip went way better than expected! Best of luck to you

We can do the all night with 2 drivers if I get two naps in the two days before we go. Otherwise, we have to stop. Or, we have our next overnight planned with 4 drivers...which makes the division of labor easy. All of us can sleep in the car at least a bit.
