We will be at WDW on 1/2 & 1/3. I have been watching wait times for FoP, which have been ridiculously long. (170 minutes  ) How likely is it that we could actually get Lightning Lane passes, and if we do, how long should we expect our wait time to be? Other than being among the first in the park, is there any time of day when wait times for FoP tend to be shorter? TIA

I would recommend looking up FoP on Thrill Data. I think it will be helpful in answering your question.

If you are staying at a Disney resort, you are eligible for ILL$ at 7:00, and you will be able to get FoP. If you are staying offsite, you are not eligible until park opening at which time ILL$ is still likely to be available.

Other than being early for rope drop, shortest wait time will be just before closing.

I'll add that the days you are going are changed so that all parks have 60 minutes early entry for resort guests, so if you are not staying on-site and can't get ILL$, even if you rope drop the line might be insane with the resort guests having that much more time. You might want to watch the wait time data over the next few days to see how the change to early entry impacts wait times, since I believe today (the 19th) is the first day of that change.
