FOP, tag along for the wait, but not doing the ride.

I would like another chance to ride FOP, my DH can't ride it anymore. I don't leave him for more than 20 -30 mins out of my sight unless I know he is sitting at desk doing bills or something. Hoping if we get tickets for moonlight magic, maybe we can wait together but he just rolls thru and wait until I'm off ride.

Think this is possible?

Yes, he can exit without riding.

100% possible. I waited in FoP line all the way until the ride part, & the person i was with decided at that point that they didnt want to do it. A CM escorted them to the exit area where they waited for me until I was off the ride. You can do this for any ride, as there is always people who decide not to ride last minute. Not an issue at all.

All rides have a "chicken" exit for those that don't/can't ride, but want to go through the queue with the rest of their group.

I was concerned if he would be told to go thru ride and keep going. Not that he could wait for me.

Won’t happen. They won’t make you ride. Just tell them when you get into the room with the bikes.

Yes, I understand that, but will he able to wait just beyond the room with the bikes?
They’ll probably send him to the store, which is a bit of a walk. If he needs supervision, I wouldn’t trust riding it and hoping they are allowing him to wait nearby.

Thank you, he has had some balance issues and has had a few falls. If he is sitting on the scooter, that fine, but if he has issues getting somewhere and need to get up for some reason ,it could be an issue. Probably not, but could be.

Guess I’ll cross it off the list.

If he rides the scooter thru the cue but has given up his scooter to stand in line with you in the preview area, just let the person know as you are offered your glasses that your husband is not riding and needs to wait outside the theater for you. As he exits the room with the bikes, there are benches he can sit on in a small waiting area. Once you come out of the bike theater, you can find his scooter and get him moved to it before exiting through the double doors to the join others to the outside walkway.

No, needs to ride scooter all the way. The few times we did the ride, he was using a wheelchair then. Can you ride a scooter thru?

But sounds like to many ifs and maybes. We'll not worry about it. Thanks for the information.

Talk to the CMs at the entrance. Maybe he can wait on his scooter directly outside your ride chamber. I just can’t remember whether I’ve seen anyone there or not, after my many rides on FoP.

I have never ridden my scooter past the preview but I know I have been asked and given an option if I could not stand/walk a bit. I’m guessing they take the scooter rider to the same area where I mentioned you exit from the bike theater and load them from that direction if one wants to ride but can’t walk. I don’t know but maybe they would let you accompany him to that exit area and get him settled and then you can join the ride from the exit area. The CMs can be quite good to those who need special help. I hope it works out for you. FOP is my favorite attraction.

I think they make you transfer to a manual wheelchair from the scooter to go through the ride chamber. There was a woman and her SO behind us using a scooter and she transferred to a wheelchair before we went to the preshow area.

Yeah maybe, the times we did the ride, DH was still in wheelchair.
