FOP Rope Drop Strategy

I am sure this has been asked before.....

We were unable to get FP's for FOP. We plan on rope dropping AK on 11/9. The plan is to get there by 7:30AM (park opens at 9:00AM). No bags! What is the best line to get into as we wait for the park to open? IS there anything special we should know as the CM's walk you back to that area? Any other tips to get us to the front? We are really looking forward to this and don't want to spend hours in line. Any help you can offer would be appreciated.

Just getting there early is really all you need to do. No special line and you don't have to go bagless if you don't want to

You will be fine by arriving at 7:30am. I did this in August and in spite of the fact that I am no longer a fast walker during the sprint from the tapstiles I was near the front to crowd at the rope to Pandora and basically "walked on" FoP. I was back out in front of FoP by 9:01am. They obviously opened the ride a bit early.

Thank you for the responses. AK is our number one priority with Pandora and FOP. Really want to get in and enjoy the ride without a super long wait.

Rope dropped yesterday. Got there at 7:15 for 8am EMH opening. Major help was AP entrance line. It was about 1/5th the size of other lines. Walked to ride starting at 7:50, right onto ride. Done by 8:05am. No fastpassers with EMH. Great ride!

We arrived at 7:30 for a 9am opening. We were 2nd in line at the AP entrance. When they let us through the tapstiles, people started running to the ride entrance. We fast walked and made it to the entrance about 5 rows of people back. We walked onto the ride and out by 9:03. We thought it was a lot of fun and definitely worth getting up early to ride it.
