FoP right before park closing

I'm planning on going on Dec 16th (Saturday, EMH 8am). My FP day is coming up, but even if I do get a FP for FOP, I'd like to wait standby for the full queue. One thing is that I'm not sure if I can get there early enough before EMH using Disney buses. Also, I've read that some rope drop standby crowds have been rerouted to the FP lines and miss the avatar animatronic. So I'm now considering getting in line for FOP last thing that day. I'd go to Navi during EMH then do the rest of the rides/shows throughout the day with hopefully FOP FP sometime, then ROL and beeline to FOP standby.

The park closes at 8pm with Rivers of Light scheduled at 7:15. Would I have enough time to watch ROL then walk to Pandora to get in line for FOP before the park closes?

It may be possible but I would suggest watching ROL from an area outside of the main veiwing area as it will allow you to get to Pandora more quickly.

I'm wondering this same thing. We are going the first week of March. ROL hasn't been announced yet so it might not even happen the night we are there and if that happens it won't be a problem. I'm not super excited to see it, but I was planning on doing the ROL dining package. I might not do that now if it will be cutting it close for going to FOP after.
