FOP or Slinky Dog

Which do you think would be easier to get on without a fast pass if you have a short 3 night trip in Sept?
I have only 2 days that aren't taken with Halloween party so trying to decide which to do in the evening - AK or HS? One night available is a Saturday (the first full day) and the other is a Monday (the 3rd full day). My ADR window opens in 2 weeks and I am trying to figure out where to be on what days. Rope Drop on the 3 day is going to be a little tough because going to the Halloween party the night before and will have an 8 year in tow, will make it in the parks early but probably not rope drop.

I would make FOP a priority over SDD, the ride and area are really great and very well done.

I would look at which ride means more to you. It could be that both rides are impossibly long waits or they could both be "tolerable". I have not ridden SDD, but FOP was amazing. I would be much more willing to wait for a unique experience like FOP than a roller coaster that could be like so many others... but that's just my preference of course. I also like Animal Kingdom more if you're torn between the two parks, but again, you should pick your favorite and go from there.

FOP is the better ride in my opinion and the waits for it are still unbelievably long, so that would be my choice. Plus SDD does close for weather etc.... so there's a chance that if you get that FP it will be closed for rain/ thunder while your at HS.

SDD is all hype. BTMRR, EE, SDMT are all much better rides and much easier to get. FOP is the most amazing ride I have ever been on - it's Soarin x1000. FOP FP is probably slightly easier to get as well, which is silly.

Slinky Dog is fun, the theme is fun, the ride is surprisingly better than we anticipated. HOWEVER, FOP is THE ride at Disney right now. It's hands-down, IMO, the best ride at Disney.

Easier to get a FP+? Tough to say. Right now Slinky is the hottest attraction. It's more kid friendly, so you're gonna be competing with a lot more people (the more kid friendly the ride, the more in-demand it's gonna be). FOP, on the other hand, is the best ride at Disney and it's a well-known fact. You'll never experience another ride like it (at least for now).

I mean, I'm a 29 year old and come from an older family, so we'd do FOP. With an 8 year old who loves TS? I may do Slinky Dog. You can't go wrong with either, honestly. Don't let anyone tell you something is overrated bc when we went with my little cousin, she demanded to go on BUZZ a million times. That was her favorite. She could care less about TSMM. You'd be surprised what a kid winds up loving.

Sorry that's not that helpful. I think people will ask "did you go on that Pandora ride" when you get home... but Slinky may be the thing your 8YO remembers most.

We went last September (Labor Day week). We had FP for both SDD and FoP, but also went on them in the evening. We got in line right before close. FoP line was 60 minutes, SDD was 11 minutes. Both wait time signs were inflated. I would try for FoP on day 3, then if not available, try for SDD on day 3. If you are flexible on days. Unfortunately, with such a short trip, you may not be able to get FPs for either.
