FOP fp flip or flop?

Hey everyone,
so this is a hypothetical situation that I am just thinking about in regards to our planning...anything can happen in two months, I know

I have all of my ADRs booked that I had orginally planned for, and that I had tried really hard to get!

We have planned to visit AK on day 3, and Epcot on day 5 of our trip

We really want to get a fp for fop. We do plan to rope drop it, but we'd like to fp it later in the day as well.

After reading through the threads, I didn't even think about the fact that fop fp might not be available for day 3 of our trip! Don't know how I missed that!!!

So, my question is this:
What would you do?

flip our AK day 3 with our Epcot day 5, which is later in the trip, and it is more likely that we can get a fp for 6 people for fop that day. This would involve canceling a GG PPO breakfast that I really wanted to do the morning of our Epcot day. I would have to hunt around and hope that another one comes up on our new Epcot day.

Just consider trying to get fop fp at our 60 days for day 3 of our trip as a flop; keep our original days, keep my GG adr, make no switches, and just accept that there isn;t any fp available on booking day. THen, I will just stalk the fp pages for an opening for 2 months....yey

so, what would you do?

Probably switch them - set up a touring plans reservation finder for GG breakfast for your new Epcot day and I bet that will come through more easily than an FOP FP would.

That is good advice. I was hoping to get an idea of exactly that; Which one would be the easier of the two to hunt down. thank you!

I got FoP FP for day 2 of our trip at the 60 day window ...

I would keep the move in my back pocket and make no changes until FP booking day came. (Unless that ADR becomes available for day 3 before 60 days)

On FP day I would try to see if FoP is available for day 3 as best case scenario. If it wasn't, since it's a higher priority than PPO Garden Grill, I'd immediately look to go to the back up plan for day 5. Alternatively, if park hoppers was an option, you could try to keep everything the same and get NRJ for day 3 then a late FoP FP for day 5 to do Epcot morning with PPO strategy and AK in evening.

I would probably switch them. I assume you do not have park hoppers?

Do you currently have a breakfast booked for day 5? If not I would start searching now for that.

That's a great idea. I wasn't sold on park hoppers yet with the 2 younger kids, but I thought about it if this does happen to be the scenario, and also if maybe one other situation arises ( some new show added somewhere) we might just do it.

I was able to get FoP at 60 days for day 1, although not until 3:40pm. I don't think you will have a problem.

This is all so reassuring! We want to day MK on our last day (+5) but we were worried we wouldn't get FOP at +3, we would be there all evening so I hope there are some left for later at night!
