So I'm finalizing the master plan for next week. We have to AK on EMH day opening at 8am. This was the only time I could get a FoP fp (4:45-5:45). I typically don't go to parks on EMH days but we have no choice this time. It will be the first time going on an EMH day! Trying to figure out the touring plan. It's just DS7 and I this trip and we've done FoP before as well as Na'vi. FoP is a favorite so I'm thinking hit that at RD then go right to Na'vi. Then go on with our day. We have a FP for Safari at 11 and EE around 1. EE is one of his favs too.

What will it be like for a RD on EMH 8am open? Should I plan on Fop first then right to Na'vi? What next?

In general, FoP at RD can still be very busy as most of th ecrowd is headed there. For an EMH at 8am, you will want to be at the tapstiles by7:15 at the latest. That should get you in the first 100-200 people. Once you leave FoP, you should be able o nearly walkon at Navi.
Dinosaur and EE also will be nearly walkon at that time. Depending on what time you get off Navi, you may have time to do both.
Once the park opens, Dinosaur and EE will still have short lines for about 30 minutes or more as most of the crowds will be headed to Pandora.

If you are not at security by at least 7:15, I would RD Navi and then get out of Pandora and do other rides that will have little to no wait in the first hour of park operation. If you are at the park at least 45 minutes before opening, going straight to FoP followed by Navi is a sound plan. In either case, after leaving Pandora (depending on what time it is) I would hit some Dinoland rides or go see the Lion King show (if there is a 1000 show) to put you close to Safari for your 1100 fastpass and minimize crisscrossing the park.

There was early magic hours for us yesterday We were ten min late (buses were bad,
a ton of us waited 20 min for buses from our resort) and FoP was already at 2 hours wait, Navi 25 min. When we got out of Navi, FoP was a 3 hour wait. Not sure if any of this info helps lol but yea def don’t be late at all hahah

Sounds like you are trying to get two rides on FoP, it's always our favorite too!!

We've done AK on EMH days and really are not big on rope dropping FoP for the sheer insanity, still 2+ years later after pandora has opened. As PP mentioned if you aren't one hour+ early, you will waste your time going to FoP. You have a few options if you do rope drop, head to Navi and ride that with little to no wait or head right at RD and hit dino land, asia, africa and work AK counter clockwise. If you do decide to RD, don't leave arrival at AK to chance, uber or take a minnie van. I am not big on waiting on buses on early days.

OR....you have the other option too, don't RD the park, sleep in, take your time, head to AK at your leisure, use your FP+ and then get in line for FoP at park close. We've done that twice and is much less stressful than trying to RD. We waited 45 min one time and another about an hour.
