Footwear for the rooms?

Oh boy......seems I've offended a few people about not walking barefoot on the hotel carpet! Just wanted to know what some people like to wear when coming back from the hotel with tired feet! If its bare feet for most thats great, not judging! Just wanted to get some tips from others that don't! :flower:

Just my pigs on occasion sometimes I will wear my fuzzy slippers. O yea I've sat on and sleep under the blankets, I don't wear shower shoes, I swim in the pools, touched the remote, etc :sad2: . I guess I should be one big sick infected germ  -anyone want to come over for dinner-I promise my house is spotless

a pair of comfortable flip-flops. or I would have a pair of socks.

I don't like wearing shoes at all, but I do have some great socks and slippers to soothe my feet after a long day at the parks. :)

After a day at the parks, my feet have to breathe. Sorry, barefeet for me, mind the fungus.

I bring my slippers from home. Very comfortable and makes me feel a bit more at home in the Kingdom.

All you gross people who walk around barefoot should be ashamed of yourselves.

JUST KIDDING! :) :)

N.E.D.

After swiming in the water that washes everyones genitals I go from the pool to the bathroom by the pool in my bare feet! After that I hop in the hot tub full of people and evil germs! :scared1: Then I walk back to my room in my bare feet while touching eveyone's door handle on the way! When I get back to the room I get on my hands and knees and crawl on the carpet, sometimes I even lay on it for a while! :scared1: I take a hot bath in the tub to relax after a day of collecting germs. Then I lay naked on the comforter/blanket that the hotel provides me and fall asleep with the phone receiver and tv remote on my pillow next to my head. :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Please do a quick check on the floor when you first arrive at your room.

Twice, we've almost stepped on Disney Pins without the backs. They come off of lanyards so easily.

Your question was fine, it seems lately asking anything or giving an opinion that differs from what other's do or believe is subject to ridicule and sarcasm. :sad2:

I take a pair of flip flops. :sunny:

I never like to walk barefoot in a hotel room, but I know when I get back from the park after walking all day.......I can't imagine not wanting to take off my shoes, but what does everyone put on then? :flower:

Nothing...just good ole barefeet...

I wasn't trying to ridicule DisneyKim or be rude but there is a few threads out there that are over the top with the "Germ Thing". When I read remarks about not swiming in the pools because of the water is washing everyone genitals or the bed spreads have bodily fluids on them I think some people are worrying to much, that's all. You have to admit that the Germ Thing is a little over the top and making light of some of these questions takes the edge off them. That's all I was trying to do and people need to lighten up a little after all it's a Disney fan website and going to Disney is supposed to be fun not a place to worry about dying of germs. ;)

After walking all day, I have to come out of my shoes and socks. I can't stand anything on my feet after a long day. My husband on the other hand, would shower with his socks on if he could. But, if I have anything on my feet, it is just socks. I can't ever seem to keep up with slippers.

As for the germ topic. If my house hasn't killed me, nothing will. I am the worst house keeper in the world. And lord knows I'm not going on vacation and cleaning my own room. Although, I do seem to keep my hotel room much tidier than I do my own home. What's up with that?? Wonder if Mousekeeping would tip US if we clean the rooms for them. teehee.... :rotfl2:

I don't think the previous poster (sammie) was referring to you in paticular. This post has nothing to do with me having a germ phobia, I just have been in some hotels that well, quite frankly it would be a lot wiser to keep my shoes on..meaning that they were dirty floors!! :rotfl: Not to mention I have 4 boys that only half of what they put in their mouth actually goes in, while the other half is all over the floor, so not a happy camper with potato chip crumbs on the bottom of my feet! :rotfl2: I don't wear shower shoes, or disenfect handles, tv controllers, or phones (i'm on vacation from cleaning  ), I will be going swimming, I may not go in the hot tub, only because if its over crowded don't feel like sitting in hot water shoulder to shoulder with people....again nothing to do with germs, and I will sleep in the sheets and sit on the comforter also! However, there was one post that notice people walking in and out of the pool bathroom barefoot... :scared1: :scared: :crazy2: That I won't do!!

After a long day in the park, I pull of my sneakers & socks. Then I put on a pair of fresh socks for the evening.

I never walk around a hotel room barefoot.

Don't take it personally, DisneyKim. Some people can't feel superior without making fun of others. Absolutely nothing wrong with your question, or your preference to be shod while walking in your room. There are many reasons people can't/don't walk barefoot: diabetes, circulatory problems, foot fungi, etc. I don't have a problem walking barefoot in the hotel room, but I bring slipper socks (with the little rubbery grippers) or a pair of Hue crocheted ballet slippers (about $12 at major dept. stores) in my carry-on in case I have to take my shoes off in the airport for security.

Forgive the pun here....

I like to walk on the wild side.....BARE FEET :rotfl: :rotfl2: :rotfl:

If I wanted something on my feet, though, I would probably get flipflops -- they are easy to slip on and off.

I hear ya sister. I have little doubt that an Disney hotel room is a heck of a lot cleaner than my own house. I guess the difference is my house has MY germs, not some stranger's, but yes, I go barefoot.

I throw caution to the wind, and go "bare"! It's a miracle my toes haven't fallen off! It sure does feel good, almost heavenly  to let my tooties breath after a long day in the hot parks!

I walk in the hotel room with my socks on, as my feet are SO sore from walking in the park, I need a shoe rest!
