foot surgery recovery...

ok had surgery sept 22 . go back again to dr today.. numb pain . still. so i guess we start with more shots again steriods in foot i hate these this is the 2nd time around for this foot.. any one else have such trouble with surgery recovery?Feeling a over whelmed. i think the dr. thinks i am mad at him i just want to be fixed..

Sorry you are having such a hard time. I hope your Dr. can make you feel better. I had foot surgery when I was a teen and recovered quickly. I'd hate to think of how long it would take now.

What kind of surgery did you have?

I had a cyst removed from the arch of my foot in May. I still have pain every now and then. I think it really takes a long time for the foot to heal. There is so much pressure and I think blood flow is an issue, as well.

Anyway, I don't really have any advice, except that it's not unusual for a long healing process.

trasal tunnel release , a very large cyst removed it was attached to the the main vein. and heel spur tendion cut. now i have 3 numb toes and major pain burning in ball of foot along with numb and tingling in ankle top and bottom foot,

My DS(17) had two foot surgeries this summer. It took him a couple of months to feel back to normal. He didn't like being kept away from his Kung FU, but sometimes it takes a while to heal.
When he did go back he took it slow. He got all his feeling back and everything but it took quite a while.

In my short 30 years alive I have had 7 surgeries on both my feet. You have to be kind to your feet or it will take twice as long to feel back to normal. Really take it easy. And good luck. By the way my feet are great!

I'm sorry that you are facing more injections in your foot. I hope the doctor can get you "fixed" soon. I know this must be very frustrating for you.
