Foot pain and blisters?

I am having the strangest issue. My running shoes still have about 2 months of wear left, so they are pretty well broken in, but still have support. Lately I am getting blisters on my bunion area (although I don't have a bunion), on the ball of my foot and on the tips of my toes. And my toes are sore like I have forced them into shoes that are too small. I am using the same brand of running socks I have always used. What gives??

I think I am going to have to buy new sneakers, but it is a shame since these are still good! I am running inside in AC on a treadmill, so my feet should not be swelling more than usual. All of my other shoes fit fine, even those that I wore for hours in the heat walking around an amusement park last weekend. :headache:

Raenstorim -- i had the EXACT same thing happen to me earlier this year. i decided it was my shoes and ended up getting new ones, to my disgust as well. i would cringe to mentally add up all that i've spent on shoes over the past 5 years.

anyhow -- after struggling with one huge blister on the ball of one foot and another on the heel of the opposite, i couldn't even feel the tiny ones on my toes in comparison. i feel your pain! have you tried the Band-aid brand blister bandages. they are awesome, they can stay on for a few days even in shower, workout, etc. Also, my mom bought me a super-nice pair of socks that was recommended to her at a running store. they are of all things made of wool, but i love them. pricey, like $15 a pair, but worth it.
