My husband twisted his ankle pretty bad last week. Dr. says he'll be ok, but he needs to take it easy whenever possible. Will US allow me to drop him off somewhere close to the park so he doesn't have to make the extensive walk from the parking lot?

There is a handicapped and preferred parking lot, usually Jurassic park level 3, but even then it is quite a walk. I would suggest using valet paking. It is near the final moving walkway that ends at city walk. That's as close as you can get.

The next best solution besides valet parking is to drop him off at guest drop off area. Then he can take the elevator up and will be in that hub before the final moving walkway to citywalk. It's not quite as close as valet as he will have to walk through that hub before entering the final moving walkway.

What about the possibility of dropping off at the "outside side" of Hard Rock Cafe? Do they have just the one entrance facing inside US/Citywalk?

Are there signs to follow to get to the guest drop off area? Or do you tell the attendant and they direct you?

The front of Hard Rock Cafe faces the waterway in city walk. The backside is the entrance into Universal Studios near Nickelodeon. There is no outside (street) entrance. All entrances are inside the park areas and not somewhere you can drive a car into.

Yes, the "guest drop off" signs are posted. They are about a block away from the parking entrance. You will see signs for buses and guest drop off. Guest drop off is in the same place as bus entrance.

What about the shuttle bus drop-off circle just to the right as you are looking at the entrance to US? It's still a small walk to the entrance but closer to guest services where you could get a wheelchair if needed too.

Do you mean the bus drop off? That is at the same place as guest drop off. The only shuttle, I am familiar with is the shuttle for employees back stage from wardrobe to IoA. Right when you come up the escalator or elevator from guest drop off are wheelchairs.

You cannot get to there. That is in the back of the HRH parking lot & it is gated off. It is for the internal bus that goes to the parks 3 different resort hotels. There is no close drop off at all. The best thing is do get a wheel chair (pay extra for the prefered parking) near the restrooms prior to going on the walkway (area under cover where moving sidewalks are) and then head into the parks....
another thought would be for you to go ahead and get the wheel chair then head back to the car?????

Thank you.....always good to know. We have always just used one entrance when we go to HRC.

Absolutely not correct - we were there during Hurrican Charley - at HRH

- to make long story short- You can get there and here is how.

Most people, including myself, thought the only way (to bus pick up area) was thru the gates in HRH north lot. But I discovered, during heavy rain storm, that if you drive north on Universal Blvd to Vineland Rd. Make a U-turn so you are now going South on Universal Blvd. Make next right at Bus entrance and proceed to bus drop-off.

I wouldn't stay there long but it can be done. There are no gates.
