Really enjoying your reviews - and congratulations on your weight loss. The duck dish at Artist Point looked lovely.
We're back! Sorry for the delay in getting the next day posted. Gotta love it when something breaks at work.
Our next day found us at Epcot all day long. This really is one of my favorite places... especially the World Showcase! For lunch, we actually went to two different places. I had the Sushi Tokyo Roll at Yakitori House. It wasn't too bad. I've had better sushi, but I've also had a lot worse. DW had the Mediterranean Chicken Wrap at the Tangerine Cafe in Morocco. DW enjoyed her lunch at Tangerine Cafe much more than she did her dinner at Marrakesh a few days ago.
During our day at Epcot, I tried the different international flavors of Coke. Guess which one I just tasted?

For snacks during the day, DW had a Mickey Bar:

And I had an Itzakadoozie:

Both were deeeeeeeee-lish! Our dinner destination that evening was the San Angel Inn:

There was about a 30 minute wait from when we arrived to when we were seated. In the meantime, we got to hear the mariachi band:

I decided to not have a drink with this meal. However, DW got herself a margarita. Sadly, it was probably the best part of the meal that night.

And like every other Mexican restaurant known to man, they bring out chips and salsa. They were okay... nothing spectacular.

For my appetizer I ordered the Ceviche: Seafood marinated in lime juice with tomatoes, chiles, onions and cilantro. Again, it was okay. Nothing really to jump up and down and scream about.

DW ordered the nachos for her appetizer. She describes them in one word: soggy.

For my entree, I had the combinacion Cozumel: Grilled beef tenderloin, marinated shrimp and roasted chayote served with spicy ranchero sauce, poblano pepper mashed potatoes and grilled veggies. It was pretty plain and average. There really wasn't anything that stood out about this meal.

DW's entree was the Puntas de Filete - Beef tenderloin tips sauteed with onions and chile poblano strips covered with roasted chile pastilla sauce, served with black refried beans and rice. In her opinion, the meat was pretty good. The sauce was kinda rich and heavy, however.

Finally, dessert! I had the Capirotada de Chocolate Blanco: white chocolate and golden raisin bread pudding served with Mexican milk caramel. I was not a big fan of this dessert at all.

DW had the Flan de Vainilla: vanilla custard in syrup, topped with roasted almonds. I asked her what she thought about it, and she made this absolutely disgusting face! The one bite you see in the picture below... yeah, that's all she ate. Guess she didn't like it...

Would this be a repeat for us? Probably not. While the atmosphere and setting were definitely unique, the food didn't really live up to expectations. Ah well, you live and learn.
