Ok.....So after being gone from the dis for awhile I am back and happened upon the WISH forums. My wife started wieght watchers 3 weeks ago, so I decided to go along with her ride as I need to lose wieght and it's easier to buy groceries and stay on the diet with help, so here I am.

Today I started out by weighing myself at 207.5! Then I proceeded with my workout of 2.64 miles in 25 minutes on the ellipiticle and 50 sit-ups to finish off. My breakfast at 8:30 was a Dannon light & Fit peach yogurt (1 point). At 10:30 I had 2 clementines (1 point). At 12:00 I had 1 turkey sandwich (3 points), at 1:15 I had another turkey sandwich (3 points), and as I am typing this I am having 2 carrots (1 point).

So for the day I have had 9 points but gained 3 back with my workout. So for Dinner I still have 22 points to play with!

I know that sounds like alot of food (2 sandwichs), but they are homemade so I use some very low calorie wheat bread, fat free mayo, and tons of mustard, along with some very good turkey I bought from Sam's club that is hardly any points at all. And I would rather have 2 sandwichs for 6 points than 1 of those small microwave things for 5-8 points. And I have read alot where it says to space out your eating so it's not only easier for me to space out, but helps me stay "full" longer through the day.

So here I go on my journey........My goal is 50 pounds.

Welcome! It sounds like you're off to a grest start! It's great that you and your wife are working together to lose weight. It always helps to have a buddy. I look forward to hearing more about you. Much success to you in your weight loss journey!

well it hasn't been a good week....lol

I was doin good last week until the weekend. It was our sons birthday so of course with party, cake, b-day dinner and all it was not good.

But I am back on track and happy to say so far I have lost from my 207.5 3 pounds...nothing to write home about, but at least it's not gaining!

Welcome, foolishmortal! You definitely have a good plan in place...and teaming up with your wife is a GREAT idea! :thumbsup2

I used to do WW. Can I ask what you ate for dinner that was 22 points? I would have been STARVING by dinnertime!

Keep up the great work!

I make these little meatloafs. You bake them in a cupcake pan instead of a bread loaf pan. And with the 7%fat ground beef and the stuffing that goes in it it is about 5 per (cupcake), so I had 3 of those (15 points), a small baked potatoe (3 points), smothered with green chile (0 points), a side salad with fat free italian dressing (0 points), and a 100 calorie pack of cookies.

You know I thought I would be starving too, but I have a good little routine down and adding to that green tea in the morning (supposed to burn like an extra 70 calories), and water all day I am actually fine.

like today I had the
yogurt at 9 am (1 point)
cup of green tea at 9:30 (0)
water
had 1 sandwhich at 12 (3 points)
more water
had the other sandwhich at 1 (3 points)
workout
more water

I haven't even touched my celery or apple for today yet. and I am fine, and ususally have dinner in around 3.5 hours. So I'll eat celery soon, and apple on the way home in the car.
