MCO is my home airport, and I've picked up quite a few folks there and find it fairly simple to get around. A bit hard if you have to find a parking space, but there are spaces...

That said, I'm not one to give up half a day of my vacation to make sure an adult friend can find her way to Disney.

Huh. I wouldn't think twice about heading to mco to pick up a good friend. A short time on 4, a ride in an easy toll road, I believe there's even a cell phone lot. Once the friend knows where she is she calls, I'd go, then head back. Perhaps with a stop at the store on the way.

I find MCO to be very confusing to drive around. I'm always afraid I will end up driving around in circles forever!

Well....if I can figure out MCO, most people should be able to. If you watch where you're going, you should be okay. The signage is good...just need to figure out which exit out you want..north or south. I use south...seems to work best for me.
If you miss the exit, just go around again. You'll get out...eventually!

The circles are what make it easy for me!

At SeaTac if you can't find a spot or your person isn't outside yet and the cops are out and you can't wait, you have to go waaaaaay out of the way and it feels like you're going off the planet. At mco you just keep driving in the circle. By the third time around you know where to go.

I sort of agree with you - a friend or family member arriving alone at the airport I would probably go if I had a rental.

However to me this sounds like an entire family that has their own vacation booked with just the first night at the OP's campsite. In this case I think it is totally reasonable that this family find their own ride from the airport rather than rely on the OP for a ride in addition to the accommodations they are already providing.
