Here in the UK, I've grown to absolutely LOVE cheese and pickles. Which is wierd because I've hated pickles my entire life. Have you guys done this with any food?

Growing up, I HATED spinach (just like most every other kid). Now I love spinach salad, spinach dip, spinach on my pizza, etc.

Mine is peppers. I will now eat green, red, and yellow peppers. When I was little I had to leave the house if my mom was cooking them due to the smell.

I thought I didn't like Scallops. I tried them the last time we were in Fultons and realised that I really like them.

I used to hate mustard, but now I like it ok. I never ate green beans until about 7 years ago. Now I love them and can eat them several times a week.

The big ones for me are asparagus, tomatoes, and hot dogs. Hated them as a kid, but like them now!

I did with avocados. I couldn't stand them but had some really good guacamole about six years ago and I was hooked! Now I don't want to share with anybody. So don't touch my avocado and we'll get along fine. :hippie:

Black Olives! It took me 40 years to acquire the taste but now I love them.

She's serious about the touching. I tried to touch her avocado once, and our friendship has never been the same

Same goes for me as well. I hated them until my FIL made guacamole shortly after dh and I got married and I felt bad saying no when asked to try it. Now, I love it and it avacados all the time!

I hated beans (all kinds, baked beans, green beans, kidney beans, etc.), cheese, ( I even used to peel mozzarella off my pizza) avocados, yogurt, milk and peas. Now I eat all those things- although I eat beans only when they are mixed into something like minestrone soup or Boca chili, hummus, etc.

Well, I told you not to touch it. :p

Coffee! Until three years ago, I loved the smell but wouldn't drink it. Now I have a cup about once a week.

Raw onions, loved them cooked as a kid, but never raw. Now I love them.

Asparagus. Only had canned once as a kid and never wanted anything to do with them. Now it's my favorite veggie.

Can't stand olives, but now use olive oil almost exclusively in cooking.

DH hated strawberries, then last year he tried one out of the flat I'd bought. He loves them now. They're much sweeter down here!

Green fried tomatos!!! Grandmother made them for me when I was a kid. Nearly puked on the first bite! I mean come on!! Even the name! GREEN tomatos! :crazy2:

As a college guy I fried some up for a gal who said she liked them. Gal is history and the 'maters stayed. I still get sick off them. But only because I eat so much of them!!!

So many foods!

Veggies -- asparagus, cabbage, green beans, spinach, white beans

Meats -- sausage, ham, hot dogs, kielbasa

Mayonnaise

broccoli.I never tried it till I was in my 20's.Now it's one of my favorite things

Pineapple. I hated it as a kid and now it's fine. Sometimes I even get a craving for it. (though I have to add I still don't like it with meat, cheese, or tomato sauce like on pizza - yuck!)

Onions. I used to like the flavor of onions but couldn't get past the texture. Now I like them (cooked or raw) as long as they're not to strong.

And I had my first cup of coffee a few weeks ago. I really love the smell of coffee but could never drink it. My DH ordered me a cup at a restaurant one night and I put in a lot of cream and sugar and it was pretty tolerable. I keep wanting to try one of those frozen, sweet Starbucks coffee drinks, but haven't gotten around to it yet.
