Food?

Our family of 4 will be staying at the HRH in November for the first time. Is it possble to walk to a fast food restaurant off the property? With the parking issue we are trying to do without renting a car. Thank you.

You can order pizza or any other food that can be delivered from outside companies to save money. Also don't forget there are lots of reasonable places just a short walk away at Citywalk that you can try.

I read your posting and wanted to make a few suggestions:

At HRH, the Sunset Grill (one of the two signature restaurants) is reasonably priced in comparison to the Palms. The Palms is an expensive restaurant with some great choices. I usually take my dates there...their Chicken Parm is outta this world (normally not on the dinner menu - you have to request it).

For Citywalk, there are some smaller choices if you choose not to go to the full sitdown restaurants. There is Big Kahuna Pizza on the upper level of Citywalk or Pastamore Cafe across from the Movie Theater.

However, the main point of this post is there are Super Star Shuttles that are located at Citywalk that are complimentary for UO patrons that will take you to International Drive. There you can walk the strip and find all sorts of food selections. Not that we want u to leave UO property, but if $$ is an issue - this may be a good suggestion. Make sure you check out the return times of the shuttles so you are NOT stranded on I-drive. Plus, I believe there is ALSO an I-drive shuttle that will take you up and down that strip as well (not sure if they charge though).

On the subject of delivery... Flipper's Pizza is down the road(not within walking distance though), and I'm pretty sure delivers. I've eaten there a few times and like their pizza a lot.

Just happen to have my handy flippers pizza flipper in my office. They delivered straight to our room there number is 407-521-0607. The food was awesome! We ordered many times. We would get the triplets the kids meal Penne with garlic bread and soda for 4.50! they have speciatly pizzas,....exp. hawiian, poasted pepperanata, pizza pollo, if i might suggest to you try the Bacon DBL Cheeseburger!!!! Heart attack special no doubt but it was great! They have a large variety to choose from prob 12 or more specialtiy pizza's and the offer subs, salad's and about 10 different pasta dishes. Prices on the pizza's are MED: 7.95-13.95 and the Large's are from:11.95-17.95 the BDC we had was 14.95 and we ordered a 12pk of cokes and bread sticks for $30. Very good food. It was recommend to me by star services and there menu will be traveling back with me next month so don't eat it all up!
