I've never been to Food & Wine in Epcot but I'd really love to go. I don't think this is something DH and the kids would be interested in but I'm thinking about trying to talk my mom into going. She will get tired easier than me so I'm wondering if there's a "quieter" time to attempt F&W. I know to avoid Saturday nights but that's about it!

TIA.

Weekdays--the earlier in the day the better.

I agree with the above poster. Avoid weekends and go earlier in the day through the week. We were there last year during the weekend and could have kicked ourselves for not planning better. It was like a pub crawl. In previous years we usually do F&W early through the week and have a great time.

I'd suggest that you go at least twice--that hike around the lagoon is easier managed in segments! Also keep in mind that the later in the festival that you go, the cooler the weather will be. And be sure to pick up the little booklet that lists the locations and menus, so you don't miss anything delicious! A little advance planning goes a long way at F & W. :thumbsup2

The closer you get to the end (the half marathon), the busier it gets too.

During the daytime on Tues/Wed would be lowest crowds in our experience followed by Monday and then Thurs-Sunday. Night time at the festival is great and would probably be ranked the same in terms of crowds.

There are definitely more people there at night as opposed to around lunch time. And there are exponentially more people there on the weekends - it's significantly less enjoyable on Friday and Saturday nights.

You indicated Tues and Wed would be the slowest ? I ask because I'm planning our trip for Sept/Oct. and based on Touring plans and Easywdw I was planning a Thurs eve and a Mon eve and also a Fri eve(don't ask but its the only park we could fit in on our arrival day.
I can easily switch the Thurs for a Wed. but the blogs seem to indicate that Wed is much busier than Thurs
Is your experience the opposite?
