DH and I were interested in the one night only thing on Oct. 24th, something about Walt Disney's favorite foods and wines. There was little information out there, and I kept checking the official Disney site as to when tickets would be made available for purchase. Imagine my surprise when I checked the official DVC epcot F&W festival page and was able to garner two tickets for the event!!! At first I could not do a thing on-line....so I was calling at the same time. Was told the reservation system was completely locked up, try calling until 11 pm...but "you should keep trying to get something on-line, it might be functioning soon". Would have preferred the reserved seating option, but that did not seem to be a functioning thing on-line. And then a few minutes later i was able to reserve our Party for the Senses. There had been no advance "warning" about when these could be purchased. As usual...the Disney website is way below expectations; however, things worked out for us. So happy!!!
Was not interested in the food and wine pairing luncheons any more. Too expensive. Plus last year's at Italy was a huge letdown....I hate octopus and the red snapper was lacking. Am looking forward to this "new" venue for Friday nights.
Anyway..Party for the Senses tickets are available on-line (a little while ago anyway).
