I was just wondering if they ever open any of the booths earlier than the official opening date. We're going to be going down the weekend before September 30 and it would be a nice bonus if a few of the booths were open.

There will not be any booths open the weekend before. They do a soft opening (CM preview, but they don't turn others away) the day before it opens (Thursday). Sorry.

Last year we were at WDW from Sept 18 - 26 (Sunday), with F&W opening Friday, Oct 1. While the booths were up, none of them were open. I think the "soft opening" was the Thursday night before opening, but we were gone by then so we did not get to experience it.
