Food & Wine marathon weekend

We are scheduled for a quick 3 day trip during the food & wine marathon weekend (11/7-9) We are not runners and it am worried about the crowd levels. Does anyone have experience from that weekend in years past? We will be staying at BC and will have park hoppers.

Also does anyone know if the Christmas party will be starting at that time?

My sisters and I have done a sister's trip the last two years for the Food & Wine Festival and we run the 5K. IMO, it is THE BEST time to go. The weather is beautiful and the crowds are not bad. Now, I've never gone any other time so take that for what it's worth, but we're going in June this year for my daughter's 5th birthday and I'm sure it will be a shock to my system w/ the weather and crowds in June compared to November.

Do keep in mind that is usually Jersey Week (when all the schools in New Jersey are on fall break and come down to vacation) but even then it's not bad.

MVMCP usually starts when we're down there, like the Friday, so maybe the 7th? Just FYI - if you're thinking about going, get tickets early! We've missed out the last 2 years b/c they sold out so quickly. We're determined to make it this year though!

MVMCP should be going on by that week.

As far as crowds, I don't think you'll have to worry as long as you're taking Disney transportation. You can sometimes run into a problem if you're in your own car trying to get places due to the diverting of traffic.

Weekends at the F&W festival are always busy and the last weekend of the festival is the busiest. When we go to F&W we only go Mon through Thursday. We avoid the weekends.

If you are going someplace other than Epcot, it won't be too bad. But Epcot will be mobbed.
