Yea we didn't intend to do that much, it just happened. It's the curse of know where to go and when in WDW after this many trips!

I actually really would love to read the UK versions. I saw the 1st one in a used book store here and almost bought them. :goodvibes

Whats in the candy bar???

great update and pics.

I tried that wiener salad at Ip-Dip. It was ok. The food there is good.

Lucky you only having a 40 minute wait at TSM. :thumbsup2

Last day already. :sad1:

Glad you made the most of your last full day! Can't wait to hear about breakfast

They sell the UK versions up here in Canada, I was glad that we would get the originals aka not the dumbed down versions for America  I think it was so silly of them to change the "British" words, like Americans couldn't figure it out. I really like the artwork for the American books more than the UK, can't have it both ways I guess. The UK books are also MUCH smaller than the American books, smaller print and not spaced out as much.

We were up at 7:30 am. That’s late for Disney time, huh? We were being greeted this morning by some lovely visitors, my best friend L & her family (Hubby M & Daughter H). They were driving up from the Tampa area to spend the day with us.

They arrived by 9am and we were at the main building all packed and ready to leave AS Music behind. We met them by the main building and all hopped into their car and headed for some breakfast. I made ressies for a breakfast I have been dying to try forever, Boma. Now truth be told, we tried to get ressies for Ohana so that L & H could see Stitch (their favorite). I tried for weeks to no avail but once in WDW I got a ressie. Then KC & I decided to stick with Boma and not let L in on the other ressie. It turned out for the best anyway!

We drove over to AKL. We were seated for our 9:30 breakfast in about 5 minutes after checking in. It was so fast in fact that H had to run out and find M & KC who were wandering about.

The food was amazing! Seriously we loved this breakfast so much!!! The curried sausage & biscuits and the bobotie were great. As was the regular breakfast fare. M had a bit of trouble tho because he is allergic to eggs. He ended up making himself a bunch of pieces of toast and making bacon sandwiches. At least he wasn’t hungry. The rest of us tried out everything we could and loved it all.

H stuffed her face so full of fruit I told her she looked like a chipmunk. I tried to get a picture…

We even found a hidden-ish mickey on the chair. She loves to find them!

Now for the best part….

When we were getting ready to pay the bill the server came over and told us that the family next to us had extra DDP credits and wanted to use them on us!!! :woohoo: They comped us 3 adult and one child meal!!! We were so excited! L was a bit worried about the amount initially, since M hardly eats breakfast, but that went out the window. It was truly awesome. We thanked those people so many time, almost hugged them even! We paid $25 or something including the tip for 4 adults and one kid! KC and I paid the bill.

So on a happy high after that we decided to explore AKL. We wandered out by the pool and checked out the grounds. We looked for some animals but there weren’t any out. Oh well, so much for that bright idea. So we went back in the main way and wandered a bout for a while.

The guys found themselves a happy spot.

We ended up wandering the floors of AKL and getting lost a bit. It was kinda fun tho. I grabbed a Mickey soap of a mousekeeping cart for H at some point. We just had fun wandering together. We eventually found our way out and made our way to the car.

We said our goodbye’s to Disney property as we headed out and about in Orlando for the day. The first stop was a Barnes & Noble store for some Starbucks coffee. L most graciously bought us all some caffeine and we sat around and chatted a while.

Then we headed to a place M was more than excited to show KC, Sci-Fi City. It’s this giant comic book type store. KC was in his glory, as was M. We wandered the aisles and they had a great time. We did end up buying some Angel comics. KC also found a hollowed out grenade and had to have it. It now sits on his desk at work, as a paper weight. We actually had to have M mail it up to us because we had no checked luggage to put it in.

I did take a few pics. Keep in mind we are easily amused.

KC has the grenade in his hand.

Our next stop was A Super Wallmart. I am easily amused by cheap prices! We ended up spending 2 hours in there! We wandered every aisle. KC & I spent about $40 on stuff. We got crystal light packets and some food to eat on the plane, some coffee and a shirt for me. A bunch of crap really, but I was happy. H got a McFlurry while KC & L paid for our stuff. She had it all over her face so naturally I took a pic.

Our flight wasn’t until around 9:30 but I wanted to get there by 8-ish, just to be safe. So that meant we had time for dinner. M’s fav place is Red Lobster and the all you can eat shrimp was going on, so that’s where we went!
We waited a bit but got seated no problem. The guys got the all you can eat, I got an appetizer. I guess all that Disney food finally caught up to me! We had a nice dinner and had plenty of time to get to the airport.

We snapped this before leaving. It’s a bad pic but we have so few with just us!

We said our goodbye’s curbside to our friends and made our way to security. We were through with no problem. Then we found out our flight was almost canceled! Apparently there was a ton of wind up by NY and we almost called L to come and get us! But they ended up moving our gate and the plane ended up leaving on time after all.

We watched The Hulk movie on the plane (on KC’s Archos), and it was really good. It passed the time like nothing. We ended up flying into Newark and thinking it would be cheaper that way. Well the flight was but with tolls and cab for the ride home, not so much!

Lesson learned! No more Newark, no more Laguardia either! This was not a trip fraught with airport luck.

We got to our apartment building about midnight. When we walked in we got a wonderful surprise from our kitty, Bale….lots of poopies and pukes everywhere! Well everywhere but the bed, which I was a bit thankful for. It took us a good hour to clean up everything enough so we could go to sleep.
Another lesson learned, don’t give the cat wet food right before you go away.

So that ends this here TR. I wanna thank everyone who’s been reading along with me! I really love reliving these trips with you all. Esp. since we haven’t got a trip in the works at the moment, I need a WDW fix somehow and you all give it to me! It looks like our next trip won't be anytime this year. I am hoping to plan a big trip, invite some friends, and check out the Wizarding World of Harry Potter and well as US and WDW in late 2010.

Thanks Again! Kat Out! ;)

How generous of that family to give you guys their leftover dining credits. :goodvibes

Another great TR Kat! Thanks for sharing!

How NEAT of that family to do that for y'all. ::yes::

Mexican train...:teeth:

Oh, that's so nice! Wow!

The rocking chairs at AKL are just a few doors away from "my" room at AKL (you know I got the same one two years in a row...) :goodvibes

It sounds like a nice day with your friends. Sorry about the kitty.

Whats in the candy bar???
Oooh it's yummy, it's a hard kind of almond toffee, it snaps not soft like toffee, and is coated in thick chocolate. I ummm eat it by biting all the chocolate off and sucking the caramel bit :rotfl2:

The UK books are also MUCH smaller than the American books, smaller print and not spaced out as much.
Maybe we have better eyesight here? :rotfl2:

Lovely last day Kat and wow how kind of the people at Boma using their credits :woohoo: I love the photos of KC in the store and yuck on the cat.

So is anyone going to bet with me that Kat makes it to WDW in 2009? :rotfl2:
