Thank you Scratch!! I have been trying to find some inkling of when to be prepared to order my tickets.

Is there somewhere to see a list of 2004 events for the festival? How do you request tickets when you call on July 20th? I just realized that we will be there for the last 2 days of the festival and would love to participate in someway - I just was not sure how to get more info.

Who is playing at the concerts.

Your best bet is to go over last year's events and look over those. Right now nothing else has been posted.

Go to Epcot site here on the boards. Also allearsnet.com.

As someone has posted elsewhere, it's usually the FLA Residents that get the better ones first.

I've heard a little about F&W festival at Epcot ------- walk around sampling food for a few dollers. You have to pay to get in?! I didn't know that. Do they rope off an area of Epcot at a certain time? How does this work? Thanks.

I plan on dragging DH to one of the special dinners this year. Can't wait!

26555: Epcot entrance fee is required. This will be our 5th F&WF and I don't recall anything being roped off. Go, enjoy yourself. You won't regret it.

No, you do not pay to get in..the food and wine festival is included in your epcot admission...you just pay $1 to $4 for any food/wine/beer you may purchase at any booth. They do take room cards and credit cards so you don't even need to have a pile of ones anymore..lol. Thank goodness.

What you do pay for, is the special dinners and wine tastings or parties that are offered during that 6 weeks. We can highly recommend party of the senses it was great last year..we hope to do a couple of them this year.

Is it just an international sampling of food and drinks (for the booths)? Any examples of what you might try/purchase?

I am very excited that it ended up we would be there for the festival!!

Yes Natalie...

Foods, beers and wines from all over the world. Extra booths are set up from different countries, each has one or two entree type things, a dessert, a selection of wines and beer.

You can go to wdwig.com and check out last years events/offerings and it will give you a good idea of what went on during food and wine fest.

SORRY! I mis-stated. Said fee rather than admission!

Has the schedule been released to Florida residents? I would love to try one of the reserve dinners if they have not all sold out by 7/20.

i can now confirm the july 20, 7 a.m. time. i got my disney dining newsletter today and it said that that's when the f&w fest events will go on sale. it said that more information on the festival will come in the next newsletter.

which has me a little anxious. i mean, i got this newsletter on the 28th. if i get next month's at roughly the same time, it will be a week after the events go onsale. as i recall last year, the only events that they offered specific information on prior to the onsale date was who was going to be at the lunch&learns on what dates. otherwise, just dates on events, with no names attached. i think i know why they do this, but i find it kind of annoying nonetheless.

anyway, hopefully we'll get some info on at least the lunch & learns in the next week or 2. you can usually at least guess that those chefs will be at the party for the senses the weekend that they do the l&l.

Are Minors (DD12) allowed to attend? I know that they would not be able to drink but I'm sure the food is out of this world!

Anybody got info on this?

Thanks.

I hope they do a special DDE mailing, because like jimwebster said, it will be too late if we get the newsletter the same time next month. It's bad enough you get the newsletter and you have two days to decided to register for the next special lunch/dinner or not. They need to start timing it better.

OK, these initial things always confuse me, what's a DDE newsletter - and, more importantly - How do I sign up??
thanks,
