Food & Wine Festival for Dummies

Hi all,
My DH and I love wine. We were at DLR last year during the Food and Wine festival and we tried to figure out what was going on with it and how to participate and never really did.

It's going on again this year and this time I looked at the Disney website pretty carefully. I still don't get it totally. I'm not interested in any of the events that involve purchasing tickets. I'm not terribly interested in cooking demonstrations either.

I'd just like to show up somewhere and sample some different wines and appetizers. I'm happy to pay for it but need it to be casual enough (and legal) for small children to be there with us. Does anyone have any pointers for us?

I am interested in some of the same things. Is there a schedule online?
Also is there any week day offerings? I have missed this the last few times they had it and this time I don't want to miss it!

Thanks Spaddy. I guess that answers my questions because it says you have to 21 to attend the tasting seminars. Darn I was hoping it would be like at a restaurant where you can drink wine even if there are minors at your table.

Ah well. I'll find some wine to sip at one of the restaurants instead.
