I was just wondering if anyone can tell me if the F&W Booth prices ($1.50 to $4.50) include tax. I was just doing some planning fror an upcoming trip and I'm trying to figure out the cost of gorging myself on all the great food it seems they have.

Also, the appetizer sized potions - about how big are they. For instance, The Cheddar Cheese Beer soup from Canada - is it about half the normal size? Are the waraps they sell all about half of a wrap?

Thanks

They are samples. Small, two bite (or one if you have a big mouth) mouthfuls. Which is OK, as you'll want to try everything. We shared and tried something from just about every booth.
I think some of the countries had larger sized beverages. :drinking1 I had Ice Wine from Canada, it was a rather small cup. Yummy! (I then just had to try the Ice Wine Martini at Le Cellier, twice, during our trip in January.)

does not include tax, and size is just as they say "a sample"
My memory must be failing me - that happens at my age - but I don't recall having tax added to the total in past years.

My memory is also fading, but I believe the price listed is what you pay.

They include tax. You don't have to add anything onto the prices. I end up carrying a lot of quarters.

Yeah, watch out for the thimbleful of ice wine.

Read this story on ice wine.

This is the reason ice wine is soooo expensive.

We were in Canada years ago and went on a winery tour. There was wine tasting included after the tour, but the ice wine was an extra cost and very expensive for the small amount you were given. We didn't try it then, but we did at F&W. As far as I'm concerned it was a once and done for the cost, but a lot of people who are into wines think the cost is worth the taste.

Actually, many of the samples are much bigger than just two bites. Yes, many of them are very small, and lots of the desserts are are only about 2-3 bites worth. Others you could almost make a small lunch out of. The Scandinavian Meatball in Norway is very good and is the size of a small salisbury steak(about 3 bites for a big guy...about 4-5 bites for me). It comes with skin-on mashed potatoes. YUM! The soups are in little containers but can also be 4-5 bites. The Lamb sliders from last year were also very good and the size of a White Castle hamburger.
SOme things are pretty small, but not everything is teeny tiny...and if you're on the DDP, you can use snack credits. We use them on the more expensive things and for items that are under $3 we pay for them OOP.

Unless you are a small eater, it would be hard to "gorge" yourself inexpensively at the food booths. Of course, it can be lots of fun trying.:)
